Description

ATTENTION: "last chance to take advantage of this ad, we're moving in July 2024."

Small piece of downtown land in rooftop mode, perched on the roof of a former factory.

The setting

You'll have access to a large terrace with kiosk/brasero, plancha, garden furniture and outdoor table for 10 people. A lawn area for pitching your tent and the 60m2 orangery in case of bad weather or just to avoid pitching your tent.

We're a 5' walk from downtown Agen, so there's little city noise in the evening, but birds in the morning.

The spots

South-facing terrace. Sheltered from the wind by 4 walls.

The sanitary facilities

Access to all our private sanitary facilities: 2 WCs (1 with washbasin), 2 showers, 1 bathtub.

The amenities

In the orangery: 1 fridge/freezer, microwave and drying rack.
In the private area: access to washing machine (+3€ with laundry), tumble dryer, coffee maker, kettle, plancha, gas stove, salt-pepper-spices-oil-vinegar, crockery and kitchen utensils...

The activities

Close to all urban activities, the Canal des 2 Mers and over 300 hiking trails in the département, many of them less than 5' from the house (I can take care of the return trip to the starting point by vhl).
You'll be a 5' walk from the market (Wednesday and Sunday) to stock up on local produce, a 10' walk from the pedestrian mall (shops) and the first cinema/restaurant/bar are also 5' away.
On foot: 10' from the cathedral and 20' from the canal bridge...
By car: 15' from Walygator Sud-Ouest, Aqualand, freeway toll. And 30' from the Lot valley...

Other things

We have 3 daughters aged 18, 16 and 11, so there's no need to worry about finding activities for your children or lending out board games (we also have games for adults).
The older one (studying "petite enfance") even offers to look after your toddlers for an evening out.

Rules

Unfortunately access is via our home, no independent access. If you are staying with us during the week, your arrivals and departures will have to be made within our time slots (we both work outside the house).
Pets are not accepted.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€5 / person)

Breakfast according to family tastes: cookies, pancakes, crêpes, brioche... But always at a minimum: assorted breads and pastries, butter, local spreads and homemade jam.

Tent ready

1 for 2 people with air mattress. 1 for 3 people without mattress.
Also available: 3 cots.

  • Super welcome by Pierrick and his family. The place is ideal for a stopover in Agen.

  • Very good welcome, warm, well located in the town of Agen.
    Great value for money.
    Thank you

  • A super accommodation - close to the center and yet quiet, but especially a very special atmosphere with the large roof terrace. Warm, uncomplicated and helpful hosts - recommendable!

  • Atypical and charming place. Very well located, a stone's throw from the station and the center, with the possibility of staying dry in wet weather. Thank you again for this. I was welcomed by a warm and cheerful family. I'll keep an excellent memory of my stay in Agennais. Don't hesitate to take a break there, it'll be a nice change from the not always friendly campsites.

  • Great welcome from Pierrick and Anaïs!
The place is unusual and very pleasant. Just 2 pedal strokes from the center of Agen, which is also very pretty and charming.
I came with my bike, which slept in the dry, and I slept in the big room upstairs, which was super comfortable!
If I come back here by road bike, I'll stop without a second thought!

  • A very welcoming host, concerned about our comfort. Pierrick made us feel "at home" and in the evening "with friends". Many thanks for this 1st experience ☺️.

  • We spent a night at Pierrick's place, we were 9 people. Pierrick was very welcoming, accommodating, available and gave very good advice. He offered us a huge room so we didn't have to pitch our tent, a real comfort, with mattresses and cots available. His daughters were also very welcoming and available to us, so many thanks.
The accommodation is very well located close to the town center, and gave us a real break during our cycling vacation on the Canal des 2 Mers.

A stopover that did us a world of good, both logistically and in terms of friendly exchanges.
What's more, the kids loved Léon as a playmate.

    To be repeated

  • I'd like to thank Pierrick for his warm welcome and kindness. Traveling a long distance, I was able to shower, do my laundry, keep my water bottles cool and rest so that I could set off again in the best possible condition.

  • We had a wonderful time at Pierrick's atypical, timeless home right in the center of town. We were warmly welcomed by his whole family, the breakfast was delicious and our children were delighted to meet their very welcoming children. I can't recommend Agen enough!

  • Very thoughtful welcome from the whole family, including Léon, the coolest dog in Agen.
I was able to sleep in the dry orangery.
    Pierrick welcomed us like family.
    It was hard to leave.
The center is a 10-minute walk from the house.
Little plus: Pierrick's house is very atypical (old forge) which adds to the charm.
I'll be back with great pleasure.

  • Great welcome from the whole family, many thanks! (And thanks for the cookies, the books, and the address of the chocolatier all appreciated!)

An ideal sleeping place for cyclists with the possibility of sleeping in the shelter of a superb orangery in case of bad weather. Very clean bathroom and toilet. There is no camping in the area, so it is a very good alternative. We recommend you !

  • Super step, Pierrick is very welcoming. I warmly recommend (it's in season :)

  • Being welcomed at Pierrick and family is like being welcomed at home.
Simplicity, harmony, attention and good mood, all the ingredients are there to feel at ease.

  • A superb welcome by Pierrick and his family. Very attentive to our comfort, I did not have to dismantle tent. Slept inside in a large room with a view on the patio. Super copious breakfast, inflation of tires....The discussion was engaged without problem ... I recommend to anyone making a stop on Agen. Thanks to them...

  • A haven of peace in the heart of the city. Perfectly situated for cycling from the Canal and for visiting the city. We take advantage of a large room so we don't have to take the tent out and it's a pleasure. The terrace allows you to relax and the welcome is heartwarming, thanks to Pierrick and Anais! Don't miss the breakfast, perfect to start the day ! ????

  • For our first Homecamper experience: we were delighted!
Materially by the beautifully renovated house which favors the well-being... and the desire to stay there :)
But above all, by the welcome of Pierrick, Anaïs and their daughters. Their "love" of human beings, of sincere exchange really touched us! ... and of service... but I don't want to reveal everything, I let you discover...
    Thanks again!
If the opportunity arises, we will come back with pleasure ....
Ps: and in the field of cycling, Pierrick is a pro!

  • Easily the best experience I’ve had with a host family. Pierrick and his family made my stay exceptional, insuring I had everything I needed over a four day stay. It helped that Pierrick spoke excellent English and had a gift for making people feel at home. I really enjoyed our conversations about France, biking, and everything in between. I recommend this wonderful home to anyone open to a great experience!

  • Pierrick and very responsive and knows how to welcome travelers⋅euses with many tips to spend a good evening in Agen.

  • We had a very good stay with Pierrick and his family.
Very welcoming host and eager to make you discover his city by indicating the places to be discovered. A beautiful meeting.
We wish to the next gampeurs, a pleasant stay.

  • Well received by the family.
    Nice atypical space.
A beautiful room to sleep in the dry.
    Friendly exchanges, in all simplicity.
    We recommend without hesitation.

  • Right in the center of Agen, his house has a lot of charm and is very well maintained! He advised us on Agen and pointed us to an excellent brasserie 2 steps from his home. Very happy with this stay and to have met our host!

  • Very warm welcome in a very beautiful and atypical house, very well located on the canal des 2 mers to visit Agen. Pierrick is very available and opens wide the door of his house to homecampers. We were able to sleep on cots in their annex instead of pitching a tent on their lawn on a rainy evening. Very good advice for nearby restaurants. Nice discussions with our hosts and another family of campers. Royal breakfast. A very good experience.

  • Super welcoming! Pierrick knew how to answer our reservation very quickly, in the afternoon for the same evening. Not far from the canal des 2 mers for the cyclists, ideal situation. Very good 1st experience on homecamper ! Very quiet tent location on the rooftop

  • First experience for us of home camping that makes us want to continue! We were warmly welcomed by Pierrick, Anais and two of their daughters. We found the necessary comfort and amenities, a top level barn and a lot of conviviality. Thank you for this beautiful meeting, waiting to welcome you at our place!

  • Very good welcome from the whole family without forgetting the dog Leon! Pierrick was available as soon as I arrived and tried to facilitate my stay. I thank the whole family.

  • Very friendly and helpful couple. All amenities available and a very good location close to the center.

  • Great experience in homecamping with a warm welcome and attentive hosts. I recommend it with my eyes closed

  • Great place! Pierrick was very nice during our stay :)
He was also very accommodating with the schedules!
We had a great time with my partner! And it will be a pleasure to come back in this nice place and see Pierrick again, (and maybe his girlfriend this time) if we come back to Agen :)

  • Great welcome despite the very late reservation.
    Thank you again!

  • Pierrick and his family are very welcoming hosts! They were very generous and, even if we only had a little time to talk, the exchanges were very fluid and with a lot of kindness.
I recommend without hesitation for a pleasant and relaxing stay!
