Description

A park-like complex includes the bishop's castle Burgliebenau, located on an oxbow lake of the White Elster. Our family restores and revives with small cultural events this castle complex from 1186.

The setting

The pitch is located directly on the forest below the castle complex.

The spots

On level meadow there are many big trees but also sunny places are available.

The sanitary facilities

For showering is available outdoor shower cabin with cold water only. A swimming lake is 1 km away. Toilets are available in the house.

The amenities

If necessary, a short-term WLAN access can be given in the house.
Electricity connection is available - electricity is charged additionally according to consumption.

The activities

We are happy to offer a small guided tour through the history of the castle for a small fee. The Wallendorder Lake offers a wonderful swimming opportunity.

Other things

The cargo airport Leipzig is not far away and there is frequent air traffic at irregular times. However, we have made the experience that it does not bother everyone.
Since we are renovating the castle over many years, there may also be work near the pitches on weekdays between 9:30 and 15:30.

  • Great spot in the yard of the old castle. A lot of nature to discover, lake to swim nearby. Bus connection to Leipzig 10 min by foot. The kitchen is fully equiped and the toilets are very clean. Even a garden shower was availabke. And the hosts and their kids are really lovely and very caring. All together we enjoyed the stay a lot. Thanks a lot
