Description

Hello ! Welcome to our Garden.
A Medicinal Forest Garden under construction, with more and more edible and medicinal trees and plants.
An energetic, therapeutic and nourishing Garden in full growth...

The setting

Situated in the heart of the countryside, but close to major roads that serve the local tourist hotspots.
The location is ideal for exploring the northern part of Ille-et-Vilaine.
The road beside the property is lightly traveled, the sunsets are superb, and the garden reveals many different scents, flavors and moods.
The starry skies are clear and unpolluted.
Animals sing in the morning.
It's an ideal place for amateurs or beginners in living soil cultivation.
It's the concept of the garden that's its main attraction, and its youth. We're still a long way from the forest, so those looking for a mature forest may be disappointed; there are 200 trees, over 3000m2, but there are few really old trees.

I'm very welcoming, but you'll find peace and quiet in my garden, and I'll adapt my activities to your needs.

The spots

I have several flat pitches, more or less spacious depending on your needs, more or less exposed too, depending on your wishes or the season.
The yard is also large enough for motorhomes, and access to electricity is very easy.

The sanitary facilities

For the time being, I'm happy to share the toilet and bathroom, pending the installation of a sanitary block (1 solar shower + 1 toilet) in the heart of the garden.
As for hours, I'm flexible, on a case-by-case basis, within the limits of my possibilities at the time.

The amenities

Internet access in the house by wifi, washing machine and tumble dryer on request, at extra charge, same for the fridge and access to the kitchen.
Everything is possible, just let me know. No microwave.
Fire possible for grilling or watching over, a place is dedicated to this on the site and we can meet in the evening around it, it's charming, musicians or artists accepted in residence.
Bring extension cords whenever possible.

The activities

What I offer, according to demand, the needs of the moment or according to the calendar
*A smile! Rest and calm.
*Gantries and facilities for children are available.
* Outpatient discussions in the garden, covering agronomy, herbalism, plant processing (distillation, macerates, mother tinctures, elixirs, etc.), as well as all the notions essential to the project and its future.

* Shared workshops on creating garden spaces, depending on the project in hand, building a pond, a willow hut, old-fashioned masonry (earth, stone, cob), planting, harvesting, drying and processing fruit, vegetables and plants.

*Conscious picking and cooking.

* A more energetic approach to gardening, or how the geobiology of a garden can help rebalance the human being in his or her environment.

* Well-being treatments using manual techniques (enhanced with garden products) to enhance well-being.
And also more holistic treatments focused on welcoming emotions, circulating fluids and energies in the body, and helping to heal wounds.
Depending on my availability, please contact me for more information.

My background is in tourism, followed by agriculture (the good kind, without inputs), so I have a fairly extensive knowledge of my region.
I can advise you and even accompany you on nature walks, hikes...
*I know the most charming and little-known places... depending on your wishes, nature, town, remarkable natural or sacred sites, etc...
Otherwise, we really are at a central point between Saint-Malo, Saint-Coulomb, Cancale, Dinan, Le Mont-Saint-Michel, the bay, while remaining at a distance from the summer tourist rush.
*We're right next to the charming town of Dol de Bretagne, between white marsh, black marsh and wooded countryside with ponds, forests and valleys. A real treat.
*For those who like it, nearby or in the towns mentioned:
2 golf courses 10 minutes away, equestrian centers, museums, theaters, swimming pools, the Ille-et-Rance canal, the GR34, hiking, cycling or horse-riding in the bay, on the seafront or inland. Kayaking, sand yachting, helicopters, etc.
*Railway station 5 minutes away by car, shops 8 minutes away by car, 15-20 minutes by bike.
*4 lanes less than 10 minutes from Rennes/Saint-Malo or Dinan/Mont-Saint-Michel.
*Depending on the season, meals and farm produce will be available.
Fresh or dried plants, eggs, fresh or processed fruit and vegetables, or cooked by myself.
From year to year, the offer will grow!

Other things

Le Jardin has many facets, some of which have yet to be invented.
If you come just to sleep there, you're already participating in its growth by making a direct contribution, while at the same time enjoying an exchange that promotes the values of connection and sharing, resilience and benevolence. The rest is more!
*If you're traveling in a group, with several tents or vans, I can accept more people/families on site if you're together.
Just ask me.

Rules

*No picking without consulting me, for safety reasons first and foremost.
*No contact with animals, for your own safety (the billy goat is nice, but you don't play with it if you don't have horns! Some people think it's a teddy bear).
*If you arrive late, please let me know as early as possible, as I have two children.
*I trust your good sense of communication when it comes to schedules and late-night noise.
*I trust smokers not to pollute the site with filters and cigarette butts.
*Naturists, please let me know.
*Animals, please let me know too, there are chickens, a billy goat, cats and the property is not fenced.

  • We were welcomed "as if at home" by David and Delphine. Shared passions, and the pleasure of staying in a place in constant search of human, animal and plant cohabitation. Great philosophical inspirations in terms of reflection on living synergies.
Thank you for the warm and simple welcome, it was very smooth.
Special mention to the adorable cat family who gave us lots of hugs.

  • Perfect stay with David and Delphine. We really appreciated the welcome, the location, Delphine's creations and David's guided tour of the garden. It's a magical place that deserves to be discovered. Special mention from our daughter to the little cats! Thanks again to the 2 of you! We look forward to returning to your beautiful region.

  • A wonderful experience with attentive and passionate hosts in a peaceful environment where biodiversity reigns supreme, making us realize that nature has so much to offer us if we take the time to understand how it works and the symbiosis between the different inhabitants and elements that make it up. We thoroughly enjoyed this concept and will be back with great pleasure; thank you again!

  • A pleasant stay at David's! There wasn't enough room for our big 6-person tent, but David found a solution that suited us perfectly, so all's well that ends well! All's well that ends well!

  • Great welcome, great location! Thank you very much!

  • Very good stay with David!
We were won over by his hospitality and kindness. We loved the visit to the garden (yum hibiscus) and the little kittens who kept us company during the evening.
A little bonus on the Breton culture point!
    Don't hesitate any longer.

  • First experience via HomeCamper and we are really not disappointed. David and his family are very welcoming! The garden is really beautiful and the guided tour very interesting. The hiker's plant we discovered there was very useful for the rest of our adventure. It was a truly rejuvenating stop. Thanks David!

  • We had a wonderful stay at David's! A warmer welcome than we could have imagined, in an idyllic setting that would make us regret ever leaving again...
From his impressive botanical knowledge to his musical talents, we were more than happy to stay here :)
    Until next time ;)

  • Small return (late, I agree ????) on the night spent in the garden of David and his companion after a day at Mont-Saint-Michel.
We spent a very quiet night.
David and his wife are very welcoming hosts! We could discover their wonderful garden, detailed and explained by David, a very interesting and pleasant moment.
Passionate about what they do, we hope with all our heart that their great projects will succeed, and we are delighted to have been able to exchange together.
    To be done again! ☺️

  • It is a pleasure to see such passionate hosts, an ergonomic garden, an inspiring way of life and philosophy, an ideal setting to discover a beautiful region of Brittany and its traditions. I am very happy and refreshed by this experience!

  • Good moment spent at David's after our visit of the Mont Saint Michel. The host did his best, even late, to make us as comfortable as possible. The children loved it and the presence of the animals. I will come back without hesitation and recommend.

  • Very good reception. See you soon

  • Warm welcome from David and his little family.
Quiet and convenient location for autonomous home campers.

  • A beautiful meeting! David and his partner are very welcoming, attentive and ready to share their knowledge of the region and their passion for plants and life. The setting is simple and beautiful. The region is rich in rejuvenating and timeless places. Thank you and see you next time!

  • We had a nice stay in a beautiful garden with two goats! Many thanks

  • Very nice moment too and beautiful garden of course! I will remember the taste of figs ;)

    See you soon, no doubt

  • Perfect experience, we may have left as a gift a chicken pox, but we cross our fingers that it is not the case!!! Thank you for these botanical exchanges :)

  • Our stay was short, but good reception and sympathy to the RDV.

  • David welcomed us with great kindness and plunged us into his universe with passion and generosity!
    Thank you very much

  • (Sorry for late review David !). We had a really nice stay in David's place, although it was just for a night. Communication was great, he welcomed us and let us stay wherever we wanted in the garden. The place is beautiful, a wild/not so wild garden with so many herbs, plants and animals around. He also opened to door to his house with all the trust to use amenities. Thank you for a very nice night, surrounded by animals !

  • great place to pitch your tent, like at home! and the little tour of the garden in the morning was a nice break! thank you

  • Great stop at David's ! The place is calm, family and country. It was very pleasant.

  • Attractive place for its proximity to St Malo and Cancale. The calm of the countryside in the company of roosters and chickens.

  • Incredible meeting, David is a superb person with projects that are worth accomplishing, he inspired me a lot, do not hesitate to go and discover his universe! ????

  • Very enriching sharing, David is a charming and very welcoming host that I highly recommend!

  • Great welcome and fascinating discussions, ideal for a night/stay in nature :)
It was perfect, see you soon!

  • Great time spent on David's property ...
Great welcome and presentation of the garden and the medicinal plants.
David knows and loves what he does.

For families with young children, it's OK there is enough to entertain them.

    Close to all stores.

It is sure that for a passage in the area it is not necessary to hesitate to reserve.

To be done again without any problem????????????

  • I had a great time with David, in his little bucolic house.
After a small guided tour of the surroundings, we ate the wonders of the garden. An attentive host, a very pleasant place, I warmly recommend!

  • Great! Very nice and nice place.

  • David is very cool, the land is perfect and the stay was wonderful. He welcomed us with open arms, he made us Breton cakes, it was really a pleasure! We recommend 100%!

  • Short stay at David's, who is a passionate host. Due to lack of time, I did not have the opportunity to enjoy the educational visit of his garden, but I hope that it will be only a postponement on the occasion of a next stay in the area.

  • A place where you feel good...

  • A warm welcome! It was Christmas Eve, but David was thoughtful and gave us his kitchen, and set the table like in a romantic restaurant, too nice!
He showed us his herb garden, how wonderful! Certainly to recommend
Thanks again David! See you soon!
