Située au coeur du Vexin bossu à quelques kilomètres de Giverny et La Roche Guyon, la propriété du XVIe siècle est à la sortie d'un charmant petit village.
Nous sommes un jeune couple avec deux enfants et un chien.
We are a young French couple with two kids and a dog. During summer 2019 we have bought this wonderful castle from the 16th century in the Vexin Normand close to Giverny. It's 50 minutes from Paris by car or train.
We are currently renovating the building and its gardens to restore its past glory.
I'm a photographer and my wife is an art director.
We leave in between Paris and Normandy.
The property is located on the edge of a charming little village in the Vexin Bossu and opens onto the surrounding meadows and forests.
The renaissance manor house is classified as a historical monument.
The proposed pitches are located on flat, easily accessible and quiet grounds.
You can ask to have a place in the shade in the morning and even bring your vehicle in the barn.
An extension cord to connect to the mains is available for motorhomes.
The sanitary facilities
Dry toilets and a solar shower are at your disposal. There is also cold water outside and in the kitchen area.
For internet the 4G connection is excellent.
It's more than enough to watch videos and even send heavy files while sharing the connection.
A kitchen area is a bit basic and allows you to do the essential. You will find an old grill, a microwave, ceramic hobs and a coffee machine. Remember to take your dishes and utensils because they are not provided. You will find sockets to recharge your phones. A large extension cord is also at your disposal if needed.
On the spot you will discover a place full of history at less than 10 kilometers from Giverny and many castles such as La Roche Guyon or Villarceau.
Games are at your disposal, you can play billiards, petanque, darts, molky etc...
There are many walks to do around and it is possible to fish and canoe in the Epte river which passes through the valley.
We are redoubling our efforts to beautify the site but there is still a lot to do. Last year we planted a large orchard and this winter we planted many hedges with over 1200 trees. There is so much to do that some things can fall behind as for the maintenance of the green spaces. Don't be surprised to see a hedge that needs to be trimmed or a lawn that is not clean (but which has the merit of promoting biodiversity:). Don't hesitate to ask for our breakfast to enjoy our delicious homemade jams and yoghurts.
Possibility of breakfast (€15 / person)
Homemade jam, fresh bread, pastries, fresh eggs, homemade yogurt, coffee or tea, orange juice squeezed on demand.
Exact location information is provided after a booking is confirmed.
Very good welcome, Paul Arnaud even lent us tools to finalize the installation of our tent that we used the first time. There is still a little work to finalize the arrangements, the site is superb.
We camped as a family in safety with a view of the surrounding hills and the crowing of roosters in the morning: a great adventure!
Paul-Arnaud and his family are adorable and helped us out with utensils that we couldn't carry on our bikes. The place is charming even if some corners are still under construction.
Excellent breakfast, I recommend it !
For our cycling weekend we had the chance to stay at Paul-Arnaud's. The decor is superb, the setting is pleasant and the roosters will happily wake you up.
We loved it and can't wait to come back to see the progress of the renovations.
Very warm welcome from Paul and Soussou, a very good time with the family! We will keep this address for our next stay in the region!
We highly recommend it !!!
Despite our last minute request, Paul-Arnaud gave us a great welcome on New Year's Eve! We were able to warm up inside with his family and friends, a hot meal was kindly offered to us, and then we were spoilt for choice to pitch our tent! The land is beautiful.
Again, a huge thank you for this generous and warm welcome, we will keep excellent memories of this new year ! Hope to see you again :)
