Description

This site is dedicated exclusively to welcoming hikers and bikers.
We offer a small camping place in our garden to hikers or bikers
We are also regular users of the HomeCamper platform during our cycling tours through France.
Seduced by the concept, we offer today to the cyclocampers the possibility of a stopover in Le Havre where all the structures of reception in camping disappeared.
We insist on the very reduced space available to pitch a tent.
It will be suitable for tents of 2 or 3 places for hiking to have a flat space.
It is thus an option of breakdown service to allow you a small halt in Le Havre. We are located at 5 mn of the route of the eurovelo 4.

The setting

Classified as a UNESCO heritage site since 2005, Le Havre has a particular architecture and a seaside where multiple nautical activities are possible.
The city is spread over 2 geographical areas: the Lower Town which constitutes the City Center with its small shops, restaurants, bar, beach, port and an Upper Town rather dedicated to housing with small local shops and large shopping centers.
We are located in the Upper Town of Le Havre, less than 5 minutes from the bicycle path leading along the coast to Etretat, FECAMP, DIEPPE... Itinerary of the Euro vélo 4.

The spots

As mentioned before, the available space is modest.
The "Flat" space is located against the house, 10 m long and 4 m wide (see pictures)
The ground is in lawn, decorated with some flowers and trees.
The land is protected by a hedge from the neighborhood.
The land has a southern exposure.
There is no shade but it is possible to protect yourself with a big parasol.
The access is possible by the garage where the bikes can be stored with ours.

The sanitary facilities

To welcome you in good conditions in relation with the COVID, we privatize in the ground floor of our house, a sanitary for our guests including a big shower, a WC and a small washbasin.
This space is available on a wide range of hours (WC accessible at night, shower usable on reasonable hours :) )

The amenities

You can choose to share our meal with financial participation (12 euros for a full meal)
Possibility of repairing bikes with loan of repair material.
Possibility of putting in load portable and battery VAE.

The activities

The activities are essentially turned towards tourism activities to visit the city classified as a UNESCO heritage site since 2005.

Other things

We open our ground on a limited period of the year, mainly March, April, May, June and I September, out of school period being ourselves on these periods on the roads by bike.
We are non-smoking, but are flexible if you smoke outside with the usual precautions for the management of butts.

If you wish to share a meal or breakfast, we will be happy to propose you a formula accessible financially according to your wishes and greed.

Rules

No hotel, no camping, no restaurant, we share in simplicity the same things we enjoy ourselves during our cycling trips.
The arrival and departure times will be defined together when we make contact.
We speak English.
In case of bad weather conditions, we can accommodate you in a room
(25 euros per room : 1 or 2 people)

Tent 2 places with mattress if needed. Cost : 5 euros.

  • For us first reception with homecamper, and really we were received in an incredible way, we could exchange on our passion of the bicycle trip and other subjects...
    The shared dinner was also great.
    Lovely hosts that we would like to receive at home, when you pass by Le Havre, no hesitation, go to Philippe and Sonia's place.
