The Eyrie Farm has a open back pasture to pitch a tent and enjoy being out in the semi-countryside and the sounds of nature.
The neighboring farms are spaced away enough to still feel private.
The setting
The back pasture is far away from the road so it's quieter.
You'll hear roosters, turkeys, ducks and chickens, occasional red-tailed hawk, and (email hidden)Some neighbors have cows and donkeys.
To the north you'll see more farms and the mountains of Cleveland National Park.
The spots
The pasture is about 5 1/4 acres, long and narrow, mostly flat with a very gradual incline. Closed in spring rainy (usually Jan-March) season due to soft marshy ground.
At this time you must bring your own shade.
4WD or AWD highly recommended due to rocks and chucky dirt.
No RVs, large Campers or motorhomes.
The sanitary facilities
Currently there is a single toilet shed with compostable toilet, washing hose and soap.
The amenities
We do not provide amenities to the back pasture.
You may bring your own portable gas-powered camp stoves.
NO OPEN FLAMES. This is a town law until we can get irrigation out there.
The activities
This is a spot to relax.
Campers can throw frisbees, yoga, jog, bring your mountain bikes.
There are also 35+ wineries in town and surrounding area to visit, as well as several hiking trails.
