An abundant, environmentally-friendly permaculture micro-farm in the Chevreuse valley.
Numerous walks in the vicinity.
The setting
We're in the middle of the countryside.
Two kilometers from the train station and Route Nationale 12.
All around us, fields, 55 hectares of forest, a pond and, next to the farm, the magnificent Château de l'Artoire (private, but visible from the farm parking lot).
The spots
This is the farm's former dovecote, converted into a small independent dwelling.
It contains 6 beds/mattresses upstairs, like a dormitory.
It's a bit rustic - we've fitted it out with second-hand furniture - but it's perfectly habitable, and allows you to visit the region in a natural setting.
A superb 360-degree view of the castle, fields, farm and village.
It's not a luxury home, but you'll find everything you need.
The accommodation is rented in its entirety, so the dormitory room is at your disposal.
For less than 5 days on site, please bring your own comforter (for ecological reasons) and toiletries (avoiding non-biodegradable products to respect the environment and the septic tank).
The sanitary facilities
There is a shower and a toilet in the apartment. These toilets are independent. The shower is in the bedroom.
So you'll have to make arrangements with your friends to use it quietly.
If you are more than 3 people and need access to other toilets, we have others at your disposal, at no extra charge.
The amenities
Kitchen with two hotplates and all basic cooking utensils.
No oven or microwave.
For ecological reasons, for less than a week's rental I ask you to bring sheets, a sleeping bag or towels.
A double bunk bed, two single beds with box springs and an extra mattress are available.
Bed linen is not provided. If this is really not possible for you, I can of course lend you some, please let us know.
The activities
Possibility of brunch with our farm produce. Visits possible to Paris (35 km, 50 min by train), the Château de Versailles and its gardens (23km, 25 min by train), Rambouillet nature park with its wild animals and birds of prey, charming villages (Montfort l'Amaury, Abbaye de Cernay etc.), chevreuses, visit to the Rambouillet forest, its museum and its château, other farms with direct sales, hiking, equestrian centers, ponds with summer swimming and fishing, cycling routes.
