Description

We'll be delighted to welcome you to our peaceful green setting.
An ideal place to relax by the woods and enjoy nature.
I undertake to guarantee the rental of a maximum of 3 pitches (maximum 2 (if more, to be discussed) per family/group) on 5 hectares of available land, in order to respect the calm, well-being and privacy of each family/group present in the same space of time.

The setting

Various meadows located on a dead-end road (not tarmacked) leading to the woods. No passing cars, only the occasional tractor.
Silence is assured and complete.
The starry sky will be the only source of light when night falls.

The spots

The meadows are flat, with shade along the hedges.
Easy access for all types of vehicles.

The sanitary facilities

No sanitary facilities.

The amenities

Internet connection very complicated - 4G available in some places on the property - It is possible to charge your mobile phone or other devices in a greenhouse +/- nearby.
No extension cords provided (on 5 hectares of land it's impossible to organize).

The activities

Walking - Cycling - Sightseeing within a 20 km radius (Chimay - Couvin - Nismes - Lompret and lots of little villages to discover) - Visit to a traditional soap factory in Mariembourg - Rest in the peace and quiet of the woods, lulled by birdsong.

Other things

I recommend complete autonomy (water-electricity).
Exceptionally, however, it is possible to have access to drinking water from outside at a cost of 1€/10 liters, and to electricity (with your own extension cord) for a flat rate of 0.50€/hour.
Garbage can: compost available - Blue bag available for 0.20€ - Other garbage can be deposited in garbage can on site for 1€/Kg. Waste water can be emptied.

Rules

Arrival: whenever you like!
No worries for smokers, just one rule: no cigarette butts on the ground, and beware of fires in summer when it's hot and dry.
Pets are welcome - just make sure they don't wander off into the surrounding woods to disturb game (deer, wild boar, hares, etc.), as the gamekeepers wouldn't be too happy!
You'll be able to barbecue, but you'll need to bring your own equipment. There's kindling and sometimes a little wood available on site (I'm just asking for a small contribution, at your personal discretion, depending on the quantity used).
Please respect the space, nature and silence, and leave the site as clean as you found it on arrival.
In the village, 2.5 km away, you'll find a bakery, a small Delhaize proxy, a pharmacy, a bookshop with a post office and, a little further on in the village, a traditional chocolate factory (Pralines de Chimay) with ice creams and sorbets! A real treat!
