Description

With us, it's country in the city.
Local shops are just a 2-minute walk away: mini-market, bakery, launderette, dry cleaners, chemist, optician.... and as soon as you go through the gate, you're in the country, with our hens roaming freely and our large garden full of trees, some of them over a hundred years old, and plenty of shade ....
In short, total relaxation.

The setting

It's very quiet here, and the view is unobstructed. We're not overlooked, so it's very peaceful.
There are also hedgehogs, which you might come across in the evening or after dark.

The spots

We offer 3 pitches with different exposures and environments depending on whether you're camping in a tent or a camper van.
But overall, there's plenty of shade.

The sanitary facilities

I make the toilets available exclusively to travelers in a separate cottage.
As for the shower, since this year there has been a private hot shower reserved for campers.

The amenities

For facilities, there's internet with a WIFi repeater if needed.
Fresh eggs are also freely available in the morning, that is, if they lay ...

The activities

We have a children's play area with a slide and climbing frame, as well as swings with or without baby seats, and a very long swing in the trees reserved for children over 5.
A ping pong table and rackets are also available.

Other things

For departure times: before 12pm
Arrival time: from 4pm.
The location of our house allows you to visit Bordeaux Centre, a Unesco listed city, by streetcar, or to visit châteaux.
The former are less than 5 minutes away, such as the Château du Taillan, or a little further on, the châteaux of Margaux, Giscours and Listrac, or you can go surfing at the Ocean, 40 minutes away by car, or visit St Emilion, the medieval city of wine, also listed by Unesco, 45 minutes away...
Dune du Pilat is 1 h 15 away on the Arcachon Basin.

Rules

We wish to preserve the tranquility of the premises outside normal business hours.
For dinners, quiet should be restored by 10 pm maximum.
Access is free and secured by an automatic gate and a wicket door.
Smokers are advised to take great care when smoking, as there is a risk of fire due to the large number of trees and vegetation that make our home so beautiful, so please be very careful.
If you have a dog, please keep it on a leash around your pitch so as not to chase the chickens away.
The site must be left as clean as you found it.

  • Very pleasant stay, great location, good privacy, very friendly host.

  • Ideal location for visiting Bordeaux, quiet area. Nice family. Good communication. We did not miss anything.

  • Everything went very well! Very clean and well located for the Stade Matmut. We recommend it.

  • We were warmly welcomed by Jean François in his (very) large, quiet garden. The mosquitoes didn't bother us too much. Better to take precautions.
The setting is really great, and the shops are only 5 minutes from the garden. The streetcar is within walking distance, but we preferred to use the car.
    We'll probably be back.

  • Very good stay, wooded, quiet and ideally located.
Warm welcome from the whole family.
Special mention for the two best gastronomic guides in Bordeaux.

  • Jean-François made us feel very welcome. It’s a good spot from where you can go to discover Bordeaux (by tram) which explains the higher price range. We had a fine experience staying for 2 days.

  • Super host, very friendly, with everything you need on site

  • Nice welcome, true to description, practical

  • 2nd stay in Blanquefort and still a great experience! The peace and quiet, the space, the games for the kids, all the necessary equipment (toilet, shower, etc.) and always the warm welcome from the whole Clément family!

  • Very successful first experience with HomeCamper.
Excellent welcome from Jean-François. The garden is calm, large and pleasant. The chickens, dog and rabbit delighted our children, who were treated to a pool session as soon as we arrived. With Jean-François' children, they quickly found things in common.
We stayed for 2 nights and left with a very nice impression.

  • Good stay and welcome at Jean François and his family, we were in camper (7m40) and we could enjoy this beautiful wooded and pleasant with the pool, electricity, toilet and shower available near the site.
Shops 200m away, and all this in the immediate vicinity of Bordeaux.

  • Nice place & nice welcome.
A unique location and the pool almost exclusively. The children were delighted.
The only downside was the lack of a place to shower/toilet.

  • We had a pleasant stay, Jean François and his wife are welcoming and caring, we highly recommend this place near all amenities! We could discover Bordeaux as it should be. Thank you very much

  • Excellent welcome at Jean François and his family ! Wooded and shaded land at only 15 minutes from Bordeaux! Swimming pool really top, the children also loved the animals (hens, rabbit, cat, dog) on the ground and sympathized well with the children of the house.

  • Jean-François and his wife's property is in the immediate vicinity of Bordeaux. It has all the necessary facilities to spend a good stay. Lots of shade.
I was not bothered by mosquitoes, I think that Jean-François has found the method to fight against this embarrassment.
The presence of the chickens adds a folkloric side to the stay and they do not make noise.
As for the reception of Jean François and his wife, it was simply perfect.

  • We did not know this system of reception for the campers and were very happy to find this solution at a time when the campings were full. Very good welcome from Jean François and his family. Dexterity necessary for the maneuvers in caravan.
There is a solar shower that we did not try, we went in the house. Toilets for the campers in the garden
Perhaps a closed shower dedicated to the campers would be missing to make everything perfect.
    Very good experience

  • Responsive host's welcome
Good location of my tent with the laying hens
    Toilet available with shower
An extension cord to my tent
    A large property
    Thank you for my stay
    See you soon

  • We were very well received by Jean-François and his family, almost as if we were staying with friends. We were able to enjoy the pool in a very nice natural setting half an hour from Bordeaux. Our respective children were able to play together in the large garden.

  • Jean François' garden is very welcoming and particularly well located, with shops nearby. Many mosquitoes but Jean François had warned us and did his best to get rid of them. Heated swimming pool very appreciable. A hot shower is missing, however, there is only one in the pool.

  • Good stay overall. The pool is the real plus of this place. The site is nestled in a small green area in the middle of town. Jean-François is very pleasant and did everything to make us feel comfortable. Our children had a great stay. Thank you also to Jean-François' children for welcoming my son and daughter so well. 5 stars deserved for the whole and the delicious blackberry jelly...
1 star less for the mosquitoes and the shower a little spartan anyway...nothing is perfect ;)

  • Satisfied stay overall with a very good reception of the host who knew how to put us in confidence from the beginning. My daughters loved the pool, the games for children and the setting. We regret however that the shower is solar and the mosquitoes which can become invasive.
