Description

Welcome to the Refuge!
On the one hand, the warm and friendly welcome, directly inspired by mountain refuges with the janitor, the common room, the kitchen, the local beers, the campfire area.
On the other hand, the comfort of a good bed in accommodations that are half tent-cocoon and half unusual room.
All this in the middle of a natural park and an unknown territory, between forests, small country villages and castles, to be discovered thanks to the roadbook and the checkpoints of the Refuge. Enough to keep you busy for a one or two week stay!

Margaux, Louise, Pauline, Maëlle, Vincent, the whole Refuge team is waiting for you. Cyclists, travelers, hikers, we have all done a lot of hard work before settling in this corner of paradise.
Now, it's up to us to pass on what we received during our trip.
We will be very attentive and we will know how to advise you in order to make you discover the region in an authentic way!

The Refuge is in the heart of the Oise Regional Natural Park, in the Automne Valley. A small paradise of greenery and old stones at the gateway to the Ile de France.
You will like : - the 25 bell towers of the Valley - the tastings in the farm breweries surrounding the Refuge - the castle of Pierrefonds which inspired Sleeping Beauty and the Three Musketeers - the famous black pudding at Bigot's (the best in France) - the small village of Saint Jean au Bois with its abbey and its small restaurants in the middle of one of the largest hardwood forests in the country - the ascent of Mont Pagnotte, the summit of Picardy which, from the top of its 222m, allows to see the Eiffel Tower on a clear day - the cave of the devil, a worrying underground, hidden in the ferns in the forests of Retz, which was once used as a hideout by brigands.
All of these checkpoints can be found in a detailed roadbook, sent to all travelers who pass through the Refuge.
Travelers who wish to do so can embark on an adventure and try to validate as many checkpoints as possible, by bike or by hiking.

The setting

Life in the middle of nature in an exceptional setting, a haven of peace in the middle of the remains of a 12th century abbey.
Ideal for a family vacation or a stay with friends!
Come to put you in green at less than 1 hour from Paris.

The spots

Bivouac tents fully equipped in dormitories of 4 with cozy beds on pine wood terraces and decorated with care. Each of the 5 tents will immerse you in a very particular universe in the middle of the abbey.
Blankets and pillows are provided (bring your own sheet).

The sanitary facilities

The refuge is equipped with 2 stump toilets and beautiful open-air showers. For hot water nothing could be easier than to heat your own solar shower for an even more satisfying experience.

The amenities

The common room of the refuge (an old barn with exposed beams and roof under 10m of ceiling) equipped with a life-size kitchen, will allow you to prepare your good small dish (a refrigerator, plates and a BBQ are at the disposal of the visitors).
You will find a well-stocked library to inform you about the area.
In addition, a ping-pong table, a molki and other outdoor games are at your disposal.

The activities

We concoct for you some short walking and biking expeditions in the autumn valley
