Recreation in the pasture in the idyllic countryside near Bremen

The setting

For organizational reasons, we can currently only accept requests for at least two nights. For our pitch planning, please let us know in which vehicle you are staying (tent, van etc.) and the approximate size of the pitch. The pitch is suitable for vehicles up to approx. 6 m in length. We are currently carrying out visible renovation work in and around the house.

The spots

You are standing in the garden of our farm on a pasture on the edge of a settlement next to a nature reserve. The picturesque area is home to typical country animals such as horses, cows, sheep and chickens as well as deer, storks, pheasants, birds of prey, hares, bats and other rare species that can be observed in nature from the pitch. Here you can unwind and lose track of time with magical sunsets.

The sanitary facilities

The use of the toilet, shower/bathtub, electricity and barbecue area is possible by arrangement and there is a stocked drinks fridge from which you are welcome to help yourself. We are happy to receive a contribution towards expenses to maintain these facilities.

The amenities

Eggs, potatoes, spreads, meat and dairy products are available for self-service from neighboring farmers and the idyllic surroundings invite you to go hiking and cycling through meadows and fields along the watercourses to the Ochtum and the Weser beaches.

The activities

The local train station *Heidkrug* and other shopping facilities are 1.5 km away and the city center of *Bremen* as well as the popular *Bremer Neustadt* are easily accessible by S-Bahn in 5 minutes, by bike or car in only 9 km.

Due to its central, quiet location near *Delmenhorst*, the farm is also the ideal starting point for exploring northwest Germany. Within a radius of only approx. 60 km, you can travel from the Jade Bay near Wilhelmshaven on the North Sea coast with its picturesque landscapes of meadows and forests, heath and moorland, along the historic towns of Oldenburg, Bremen and Cloppenburg up to the Dammer Berge near Vechta and the Wiehengebirge in the district of Osnabrück.

... and in the evening you can sit by the fire in the pasture, watch the bats or marvel at the starry sky ...

Other things

We are a small farm from the 1930s, which was mainly used to supply milk. Milk was delivered daily by horse-drawn cart and sold in the farm store until the 1970s. The cows were milked directly on the pasture where the parking lot is located today.

Today, our farm is an agricultural and horticultural place with offers for natural recreation, creative and environmental education in a personal and familiar atmosphere.
