Welcome to our olive grove.
A large garden in the heart of nature, with panoramic views of the mountains of the Haute Pays Niçois, in the Vésubie valley.
Voted best starry sky in France.
We're located at Lieudit Figaret GR510, in the neighboring village of Utelle.

The setting

Quiet location on the outskirts of a hamlet.
You can hear a variety of birds, mouflons and others in our olive grove overlooking the mountains.
Rich and varied vegetation. Spring and tap water on site. We have a henhouse with a rooster that livens up the grounds, but we promise no 4 a.m. alarm clocks!!!^^

The spots

The site faces south, but numerous trees provide shade.
We're on a slope, on terraces supported by low dry-stone walls. So be careful, it's a bit of a climb, but we live here all year round with our young children, so don't worry ;) !
The place is easy to get to, just 45 minutes from Nice.
You can park on the roadside at the foot of the house, or in the village slightly below in parking spaces.
Tent sizes on request.

The sanitary facilities

Accessible amenities (showers, toilets, washing machine). An independent bathroom is available.

The amenities

Microwave, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, crockery and basic food items available. BBQ on request.
Electricity is available on our side of the house.
Internet eventually but we get 4g and you're not here for that ;)

The activities

We live close to the Parc du Mercantour, which makes us a favorite spot for nature lovers: hiking, climbing, canyoning and via ferata. The resort of La Colmiane boasts Europe's longest zip line, a summer toboggan run and a number of horse-riding centers. A thermal center with spa. The Vesubia park with its indoor pool and climbing walls. All this less than 30 minutes from our home, just 1 hour from Nice by car to see the sea.

Mountain biking, hiking, canyoning, climbing, via ferrata, kayaking, motorbiking...

Other things

Martin is an in-home catering chef, and depending on availability, he can offer you meals or breakfast (book in advance). Emily (myself) is a spa and wellness technician, and can offer you massages in nature for greater relaxation after a busy day discovering our region.

Free access to the grounds and amenities at all hours, but quiet and discretion are essential.
Smoking is prohibited in the vicinity of the house and amenities. Please extinguish cigarette butts and dispose of them in the garbage can.

Land & setting
  • Super setting, super family, thanks for the welcome, we'll be back with pleasure.

  • Very friendly couple and dog, breathtaking view, kitchen and bathroom built-ins for a touch of comfort, and even the possibility of buying a few products created by Martin and Emily! If we're ever in the area again, we won't hesitate to come back. Thank you

  • First experience. Welcomed with simplicity, the whole family gets involved, even the children. A smile, a word, a gesture. I felt at ease immediately. Ideal location, top-notch rental equipment for optimum comfort after 12 days of Corsican trekking. A much-appreciated break! Emily is not stingy with her advice, and is always willing to share the good things about the place (walks, hidden baths, etc.). I've been recommending it ever since. If I ever stay near you again, I'll definitely stay here. Thank you to the 4 of you for your kindness.

  • A great welcome, a very pleasant place and a family with whom bonds were created. Our children were delighted to meet new friends during their vacations! See you soon!

  • Great about everything, Emily and Martin are very welcoming and pleasant to be around! They were also very accommodating on arrival and departure. The location is beautiful, warm but windy, so it's still pleasant even in the middle of August. I recommend without hesitation! Thanks for everything!

  • Very warm welcome, Emily and her husband are very nice! The place is beautiful, in the middle of nature and calm. The kitchen and bathroom are well equipped, clean, and really practical for entertaining campers.
    Thank you very much.

  • Great experience in the heart of the Mercantour mountains. Great location, breathtaking scenery and a moment of tranquillity.

  • Emily and her family welcome you to this beautiful property rich with life. Breakfast is also available ????

  • Great spot with a beautiful view on the valley. We were very well received and the common areas are very functional, nothing to say!

  • Very nice hosts, great location. Well maintained bathroom and a great kitchen. Anytime again!

  • Very warm welcome, helpful and pleasant people.
The privacy was preserved among the other campers and bathroom and toilets at disposal as well as other practical services! No disadvantages in sight, only advantages.

  • Camp in the middle of the olive trees with a nice view. Bathroom and kitchen just for us!
Charming family and full of projects. Tasty breakfasts.
    Good continuation :)

  • What a beautiful place and where anyone who loves nature and animals feels at home. My 13 year old son and I had a wonderful stay at the quiet home of Emily and Martin who are very pleasant and helpful hosts.

  • Very nice and calm place.

  • Emily and Martin were adorable, the place is beautiful and allows to recharge 100%, I recommend! My only regret, not having been able to take olive oil, so good... a next time!

  • A magical place, exceptional hosts, a perfect breakfast, a more than fantastic first homecamping experience. The tent lent by Emily was great. Go there with your eyes closed. We'll go back for sure.

  • Great location, the owners are very welcoming, I highly recommend!

  • We spent one night at Emily's house. Warm welcome, beautiful setting and calmness guaranteed! An address to recommend! Thank you Emily !

  • The paradise under olive trees with views of the mountains all around is highly recommended! Emily, Martin and the little ones welcomed us very warmly and were exceptionally helpful. The area is a dream, you can do a lot but just as well you can come to rest under the olive trees in the hammock and read book. We had a wonderful last evening with Emily and Martin and a good glass of wine. A thousand thanks for everything! We wish you only the best.

  • Excellent home camper!
The landscape is breathtaking, in the middle of the mountains with a religious silence, ideal to recharge your batteries.

The welcome was excellent and the breakfast is very good.

I recommend this location without hesitation!

  • Very good experience in a beautiful setting.

  • We had the pleasure of spending a night in Emily's little paradise! The view is breathtaking, and Emily is a very attentive, respectful, and caring host. I highly recommend her!

  • We camped for the first time at Emily's, the family is kind and the nature is beautiful. We also bought there olive oil.

  • This place is one of the most beautiful in France. I can highly recommend to visit to every mountain lover. Our stay was great. Only little disadvantage was the very steep accese to the house and camping spot. Other than that all was perfect. Clean bathroom, well equiped kitchen, pool with stunning views and most of all- lovely people. Emily was very kind, welcoming and friendly. And I appreciate the eco-friendly lifestyle of this family. Perfect holiday! Thank you!

  • Very nice experience, excellent welcome from Emily and Martin. To be repeated without hesitation and warmly recommended. Thank you again for your kindness.

  • A heavenly setting for mountain lovers! I recommend

  • We absolutely loved our stay with Emily, Martin and their little ones. They are very helpful and friendly. The view from the camping place is just marvelous and the surrounding is quiet and peaceful. The separate building for campers with kitchen, toilet and bathroom was very clean and useful as shelter when it was raining. Upon request, Martin cooked us a three course dinner which was delicious. Big, big, big recommendation for any one who wants to explore the Mercantour Parc and surroundings.

  • Great place and perfect welcome, I will come back :)

  • Idyllic stay! A corner of paradise, under the olive trees, in the restanques, without any opposite other than a landscape of dream in the Vesubie and also beside our tent of the flowers, the splendid butterflies... and not of mosquitos or other inconveniences... a true return to the sources...
A place full of fresh air, nature and calm.
As soon as we were welcomed, we felt at ease. Our hosts were very available, serene...they are beautiful people, a beautiful family, a beautiful meeting.
The breakfasts offered are home-made, copious and delicious...
Nearby hikes, villages, small restaurants to discover.
We also enjoyed and loved the Berthemont baths...not far from Lantosque, with 3 large pools of thermal water, whirlpools, waterfalls, jacuzzi.... a great happiness this stay at 1h from Nice...we can't wait and hope to be able to come back very soon.
