Description

Come and enjoy one or more nights in front of Mont Aiguille!
We are at the start of several hikes with access to the himalayan footbridges at 40 mins walk

The setting

You can enjoy the setting, the view.
We have dogs, cats, a dwarf pig, ducks, chickens and roosters that create animation.

The hens, cats and dogs are free on the property, and they are very sociable...

Beware, the roosters are crowing! So you should expect to hear the roosters in the morning ^^

The equestrian center is located just next door for the horse lovers.

There is no or little traffic (tractors can pass from time to time)
And the carriages of the equestrian center.

There is a Montessori school below our house that turns into a day care center for the children for 3 weeks in July. There is a little noise during the day (the children play), but in the evening, they don't stay up too late, and the atmosphere becomes quiet again.

The path in front of the house leads to a nature reserve.

The spots

The terrain is sloping in some places, and almost flat in others. There is a way to get into several places.

The sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are easily accessible.
Dry toilets, bathroom with shower (with hot water.)
Accessible all the time

The washing products used must not contain plastic (micro beads).
The water from the shower goes into the ground...

Marseille soap or equivalent mandatory for shower and dishes ;)

The amenities

There is electricity in the courtyard next to our house which is accessible 24 hours a day.
We can also lend a barbecue.
There is a kettle available 24 hours a day and I can lend out dishes.

Electric barbecues are not allowed!

A washbasin is available 24 hours a day.

The fridge is also accessible 24/24.

The activities

We have the lake of Monteynard next door with the himalayan footbridges.
A horse riding center, and lots of hiking to do.
The small village of Mens is 20 minutes away with its night markets and shops!

Other things

Breakfasts and evening meals are possible on reservation ! ^^

Rules

Smokers are accepted if they don't leave their butts on the ground ^^

Concerning the waste, we will give you a bucket for all the food scraps (that we will give to the chickens and the pig) and we also have a composter.
The rest will have to be sorted (the garbage cans are at the entrance of the hamlet).

Dogs are accepted on a leash (unless they are used to chickens, cats, ... ^^)

The access is quite easy and there is a place not far to park cars.

Children are accepted without worry, we have 3 of them and they will be happy to welcome guests of their age!

You have to drive through the small hamlet to find us!
Children live here, please drive at 20 max in the hamlet ☺️
Thank you very much!

  • Our stay was very pleasant, Steffy and her family were very welcoming which immediately put us at ease. Despite the bad weather (as a tent camper) we had access to all the comforts we needed to keep dry and warm. The animals wandering around us and the view of the mountains undoubtedly contribute to the warm and pleasant atmosphere of this place. We'll definitely be back when the weather's nicer!

  • Steffy and Cédric's friendly welcome warmed our hearts. The peace in our little corner, where we could look out at the mountain and the stars and make contact with the kind owners (adult and younger :-)) was exactly what we love on vacation. Thank you so much!

  • We were won over by the place and by the hosts, who were very warm, passionate and available! We recommend the Steffy experience

  • Everything was perfect, I had a great stay with Steffy! There are some wonderful hikes to be discovered starting from the house. The setting is really quiet and peaceful, with superb scenery. If you want to reconnect with nature, this is the place to be! Thanks again for the warm welcome, I'll treasure this address!

  • A great place, with a magnificent view. It's a great place to get out and enjoy nature and, above all, the mountains!

  • A very good first experience with Steffy and her husband.
A welcoming, human and friendly family! I recommend you, you won't be disappointed.

  • My stay with Stéphanie was great! Thank you so much :)

The space for camping and resting is very pleasant, there's everything you need and the hosts are very friendly. A big plus are the hiking trails close to the house, to get to the beautiful Lac de Monteynard if you're motivated! And don't forget to visit the wonderful artistic garden at the beginning of the street, a 5-minute walk away.

  • Excellent one-week stay with Steffy and her family. Friendly and attentive welcome, beautiful view of the mountains, numerous hikes and activities nearby, the Trièves region is magnificent.
    A very good address.

  • Incredible welcome from Steffy and her husband. We loved the enchanting setting, the interesting discussions, and their project that made us dream. The perfect stopover in the Trieves. We hope to meet them again in the future! Thanks again ????

  • We had a very nice stay at Steffy's : warm welcome, discreet and available hosts, in a remarkable approach of return to the earth, all this in a quiet place surrounded by sumptuous mountains and thousands of stars. Thank you for everything and see you again!

  • Super location, beautiful view, everything is available, animals as cute as each other.
Enjoy fresh eggs for a successful breakfast.
    Hosts with the small care
Thanks again and see you soon.

  • Very pleasant stay for 1 night in a tent. The ground is well flat, the toilets are easily accessible. Steffy's and her family's welcome was very pleasant. It was a first time with this site for us, and we are happy and eager to do it again. Steffy gave us a tour of the farm, and the children were able to play and participate in feeding and giving to the animals. It was a great experience with a beautiful view.

  • The view on the Vercors and the sympathy/conviviality of the family made me spend a superb moment. I recommend this place without hesitation! The place is very functional.

  • A charming family that shares its daily life discreetly and with great pleasure. Attentive to the least of our needs (family of 5 in a tent for 6 days). Beautiful encounters that mark the vacations with a capital V. (The night of the musical stars). Beautiful moments of simple and natural sharing that punctuate the days filled with walks and swimming. A magnificent view. Starry and soothing nights. The early morning welcomes the crowing of the rooster that we will miss. (Yes, we like it) But, musicians that you are, you should maybe teach him to sing! Good continuation in any case. Hope to see you again.

  • Very good experience with Steffy who is a very friendly and accommodating host. Nice view of the mountains, excellent starting point for hiking. We were a bit tight on the pitch, but there are plans to spread the pitches out better. Good continuation to all the family !

  • Good quality place to spend a night in the quiet, except the cock at 5:00, but it allows to enjoy the daybreak. I recommend

  • The site is well located, but it's a pity because we were woken up by the rooster which was really close to our tent. The yard is very well equipped with a kitchen, a dining area, a bathroom and an independent dry toilet. On the other hand, there were 2 tepees + 2 tent pitches on the same ground, it's a pity that we were not more spaced out from each other for more intimacy. Really nice welcome and great care

  • Steffy and Cédric are very open and friendly and the setting is very welcoming: we loved our stay and we will come back ;)

  • We had an excellent stay with Steffy and her family who are extremely kind and welcoming hosts. The location for the tent is very good. We really appreciated the games (ping pong and darts in particular), having the animals nearby and all the facilities provided. I highly recommend it! Thank you to them and good continuation

  • We had a great time in this little corner of paradise! Steffy and Cedric have great values and a real sense of sharing, we will come back with great pleasure!

PS : we found our van ;)
