Description

Green and wooded land without water or electricity at the edge of a small town.
We do not live on the land.

The setting

Surrounded by a woodland and fields where are goats, and sometimes horses, donkey.
The land is located at +/- 200 m from the houses, therefore some noise of housing and life.
Presence of Charles de Gaulle airport at 20 minutes by car, nothing deafening either.
Noise of nature (mainly birds!).
Trees, high grass. Sometimes the visit of the herrisson, and / or where the cry of the owl scares.
A wooden hut not completely finished but nevertheless usable.
Possibility to put one or more hammocks.
The fence has aged in places, but it remains closed.

The spots

Ideal for tent campers on foot or by bike (close to the Scandiberica/EuroVelo 3). Shady, relatively flat parts.
Access possible for a small van (pick-up style).
The access to the terrain is a bit chaotic (ruts and holes), so "tall" vehicle preferable.
Avoid "low" sports cars.

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets in experimental mode (i.e., a pierced chair, a bucket, chips and ... your arms to empty it!)
No water, no electricity.

The 4g passes.
Fire pit for grilling meat or marshmallows!
Garden table and chairs
2 sunbeds
A trampoline for the children (or even for the adults who have kept their childish soul!).
Dry wood available.

Other things

An old cottage was burned in March 2021. The rubble was pushed to the back of the new construction. Reconstruction in progress.

  • Excellent night at Thibault and Madeline's place, very quiet, on their bivouac ground. The closest neighbors are a nice couple of goats. I found without problem thanks to a very clear SMS route sent by Madeline. As there is no water, I took the option to buy some bottles at the Carrefour Market in the center near the church (about 1,5km). There is also a big Intermarché nearby. We have the feeling to be really in bivouac in the countryside whereas we are in border of the last houses of the agglomeration. Very good stop on the EV3 before entering the really urbanized sectors of the Paris area. Only regret: not to have met Thibault and Madeline in flesh and blood, because they were held back by their occupations. Contact SMS and mail Home Camper only.
