Description

Green plot with trees, WITHOUT WATER OR ELECTRICITY, on the outskirts of a small town.
We do not live on the land.
Please contact us for availability.

The setting

Surrounded by woodland and fields with goats, and occasionally horses and donkeys.
The property is +/- 200 m from dwellings, so there's little noise.
Charles de Gaulle airport is a 20-minute drive away, so nothing deafening either.
Sounds of nature (mainly birds!).
Trees, tall grasses. Occasional visits from hedgehogs, and/or the scary calls of owls.
A wooden hut on stilts can be used.
Possibility of adding one or more hammocks.
The fence has aged in places, but it's still enclosed.

The spots

Ideal for campers in tents, by car, on foot or by bike (close to Scandiberico/EuroVelo 3). Shady, relatively flat sections.

Please note that there is a section marked out with tape, as we're letting young trees grow there to create a new wooded area in the future, so please avoid going there.
Outside this area, you can pitch your tent or van wherever you like.

Access possible for a small van.
Access to the terrain is a little chaotic (ruts and holes), so a "high-legged" vehicle is preferable.
Avoid low-slung sports cars.

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets in experimental mode (i.e., a pierced chair, a bucket, shavings and ... your arms to empty it!)
PLEASE EMPTY THE BUCKET before leaving in the blue bin to the left of the toilet.
NO WATER OR ELECTRICITY ON SITE.

  • Very pleasant stay! The plot is easy to find thanks to the indications and corresponds to the description. The nearby stores make it easy to get to the water, and if not, there's the cemetery (you have to walk a bit). Very scenic just outside the capital, perfect!

  • Excellent night at Thibault and Madeline's place, very quiet, on their bivouac ground. The closest neighbors are a nice couple of goats. I found without problem thanks to a very clear SMS route sent by Madeline. As there is no water, I took the option to buy some bottles at the Carrefour Market in the center near the church (about 1,5km). There is also a big Intermarché nearby. We have the feeling to be really in bivouac in the countryside whereas we are in border of the last houses of the agglomeration. Very good stop on the EV3 before entering the really urbanized sectors of the Paris area. Only regret: not to have met Thibault and Madeline in flesh and blood, because they were held back by their occupations. Contact SMS and mail Home Camper only.
