Description

A marvelous little corner of paradise, on the edge of a river, 1 hour south of Paris, at the edge of the Fontainebleau forest...

The setting

Charming and bucolic setting. Very quiet, cool and bright. Nestled in the trees and vegetation. Our little wooden chalet overlooks the Loing. Direct access to the river, in which it is quite possible to swim. The water is fresh, clean and delicious.

The spots

Flat land on green lawn. Offers shady and sunny corners.
Access by a dirt road from the village of Montigny-sur-Loing which offers all kinds of shops. Shaded parking right at the entrance of the garden.

The sanitary facilities

It is possible to use our toilet and the sink in the bathroom. The garden hose is available for outdoor showers.

The amenities

We have a very good internet connection. Sockets are easily accessible outside the house and we can lend you a large extension cord without any problem. It is possible to recharge your cell phone and other electronic accessories easily.
The garden is equipped with a barbecue which you can use for your grills and other gourmet pleasures in the summer.

The activities

The garden has direct access to the river. Swimming is free but under the full responsibility of everyone (not accessible to small children). A "beach" accessible to all is 5 minutes away by car and allows the youngest not knowing how to swim yet. We lend snowshoe games.

To have fun going up the river, we rent to those who want to:
- our 2-seater canoe-kayak (10€)
- our flat-bottomed fishing boat (10€)
- our small electric boat (10€)

IN THE HEART OF NATURE
Our place is close to the Plaine de Sorques (a protected area on the grounds of a former sand quarry). This sensitive natural area is home to many species of birds, amphibians and wild mammals. A path goes around it, it leads to two observatories allowing to observe birds and deer in all discretion.
We are on the edge of the forest of Fontainebleau. It is a fabulous natural heritage to discover. Former hunting domain of the kings of France, this vast forest of more than 22 000 ha of preserved nature deserves its title of "Forêt d'Exception®". This radiant and sensitive nature is an invitation to travel to the mountains or to distant lands thanks to the diversity of its landscapes, its fauna and its flora: rocky chaos and viewpoints, ponds and moors, expanses of sand, lush or boreal forest...

THE VILLAGE OF MONTIGNY-SUR-LOING
Pretty village with a friendly and family "beach" where you can swim along the river.
All shops within 10 mn walking distance : bakery, Carrefour Contact, library, hairdresser, café, restaurant, pizzeria, tea room, exhibition gallery, etc.

THE SURROUNDING CHARMING VILLAGES
Bourron-Marlotte, Moret-sur-Loing, Larchant, Barbizon, Milly-La-Forêt...

THE CITY OF FONTAINEBLEAU
The beauty of a city on a human scale, very lively, full of history and culture, where it is good to walk around: its castle, its splendid park, its terraces, its stores, its restaurants, its cinemas, its Italian-style theater...

PARIS
In 55 minutes by train from the small station of Montigny-sur-Loing, we also have access to all the wealth and resources that the capital offers!

Other things

Use of the barbecue (5€)

  • Mina is really adorable! I had a wonderful time in her garden. She welcomed me with open arms.
It was my first time camping, and I have excellent memories of it!
I'd forgotten my pump, so Mina lent me hers, and I was able to use her bathroom and toilet.

I'm sorry I wasn't there longer, because we had some very interesting conversations!

    Thanks again Mina! :)

  • During our stay we spent two nights with Mina, who made us feel very welcome in her magnificent garden. The setting is ideal, surrounded by forests, and the view over the Loing is very pleasant. We were delighted with our stay and would like to thank Mina for her kindness, hospitality and attentiveness.

    I highly recommend the experience!

  • Thank you Mina for a very pleasant stay!

We love nature and swimming in rivers, so we were really spoiled. We were together in the garden, even with part of our family in a second tent; so car + roof tent, tent 1 and tent 2. We also loved the little lounges outside, where we ate when it rained.

The only drawback is that the dry toilets outside weren't ready yet, and there's no shower. So we showered in the Loing and used Mina's toilet.

  • A magical place! We had a great weekend at Mina's, who did everything she could to make sure we had a good stay. Her garden, the river and the village of Montigny are ideal for a change of scenery just 1 hour from Paris.
    We'll be back for sure!

  • Thanks to Mona for her radiant welcome and her kindness! Her garden is a little paradise on Earth, and a great place to stop.

  • A wonderful place run by a very pleasant person, giving an extra touch of pleasure to our stay.

  • We had 4 wonderful days with Mina and her family! It is a wonderful, somewhat secluded property in the middle of nature. We were warmly welcomed and Mina was very eager for us to have a good time ☺️ There is a lot to discover on the property: it is like a little secret paradise where Mina and her children (and cat) live. One note: the river is very quiet, so there were many mosquitoes in the evenings - be sure to bring spray ????

  • Mina's property is a little piece of paradise. Her garden overlooks a canal, it is extremely relaxing and perfect for pitching a tent. Mina is a responsive, sociable and caring person, she will welcome you with open arms without any problem. I recommend her.

  • Many thanks to Mina and her daughter Nedjma for their warm welcome!

Their peaceful garden on the banks of the Loing is a little paradise: view on the river, barbecue, canoe... it's the perfect place to disconnect less than 1h30 from Paris!

We will come back for sure :)

  • Our first homecamper experience and it couldn't have been a better place to do it! Mina is a great host, super warm and very helpful. For example, we got 2 freshly washed blankets from her after we were so cold in our first night in the tent. And also otherwise she and her daughters were just super nice and communicative.
The river at the property is totally beautiful and in general everything is very very cozy.
Thank you for this terrific stay Mina! We will be back soon:)

A tip: in the restaurant lediv20 in town you can eat very well and delicious!

  • Mina is an exceptional hostess!
We really felt at home !!!
This place is a little piece of paradise at the gates of Paris.
We will return without hesitation ☀️????

  • Thanks to Mina for her warm welcome. Beautiful place. Everything was perfect. To be done again!

  • Mina dear Golden Host, on the podium of my escapes on home camper :) it is a space where reigns a very pleasant aquatic serenity. I would go back there as soon as possible.

  • At that moment, everything was perfect.
She is really nice and she welcomed us with a smile. That's why we could spend time with her at ease.
The landscape is beautiful and cozy.
    I will revisit it 1000%.

  • A big thank you to Mina who is warm and very kind. We had an excellent weekend in a magical setting! I highly recommend it.

  • Very warm and generous welcome from Mina, in a rather magical setting. We were able to pitch our tent by the water and enjoy the beautiful lighting in the trees at night. The chalet is very cute. It is possible to warm up by the fire and use the bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay. The only downside, but no surprise, is that the price is worthy of the place and the welcome, but perhaps not in keeping with the lack of a shower, especially in the cold autumn weather. Nothing to say otherwise. The village of Montigny is adorable, very nice walk in the forest from the cemetery. Pizzeria le bijou bar in the next village is excellent. We will come back !

  • I took a 2-night getaway to this dreamy garden, watched the very large weeping willow dance from my tent. I set up a table in front of the river for dinner. Mina and her daughters are full of smiles and kindness. Pretty lights come on at night for safety and ambiance. I didn't do a boat or canoe ride this time, but I'll be back! :) . Since I travel on foot, I also enjoyed the proximity to the train station and shops.

  • First experience via homecamper. Thanks to Mina, it was very enriching humanly speaking. Mina is a very welcoming and friendly person.
I recommend this place to everyone.

  • A magical experience. Mina and Nedjma her daughter, received us with a lot of love and kindness. It is with pleasure that we will return.
    Tristan.

  • A memorable welcome in an exceptional setting. My stay at Mina's will remain an unforgettable memory.

  • I was warmly welcomed at Mina's house, along with one of her daughters and another camper. We were the first guests welcomed and we were very well received, I will keep a happy memory to mark the end of my little hike!
Also, the place is very cute, right on the river.
