Description

Organic quinta (farm) in rural, central Portugal. Village nearby, larger town with all you need about 10km. Plenty of space to pitch or park, moderate use of electricity. Use of internet, shower, camping / compost toilet. Places to walk, cycle, river beaches, cafes. Authentic Portuguese surroundings, but also foreign communities not far away.
3 dogs and a cat live here, no other animals at the moment.

The setting

Usually quiet. Mountain views and fields. Can be very hot and dry in July/August. Sunny most of the year, but rains heavily at times in winter, especially November. January can be very cold.

The spots

Access is good, but if you have a large vehicle you will need directions to avoid nearby village.
Large flat terraces. Not much shade at the momentRiver though.

The sanitary facilities

Am building a compost loo soon, until its finished you will either need your own camping loo or use the house toilet, or cafes in village.
Shower is currently in annexe, but if guests are staying in it, can use shower in house.

The amenities

Water and electricity available any time. Internet via wifi is only on from 8 or 9 am until midnight, but mobile network reasonable.

Other things

Im vegetarian, you dont have to be! But bio-degradable toiletries required for shower use, washing machine also, as they water the orange trees.
