Description

We offer a small corner of tranquility with a breathtaking view of the village of Joyeuse in the land on which we are developing a project in agroecology, permaculture and crafts. Please read the advert and camping rules carefully.

The setting

The land adjoins the house and consists of several dry-stone terraces where we cultivate olive trees, a small vineyard and a few fruit trees, in addition to market gardening. There are only two neighbors, with no vis à vis. The terraces overlook the village of Joyeuse and the Beaume river. Peace and quiet are guaranteed in spring and autumn. However, we would like to point out that between July 15 and August 15, on certain evenings, the noise from concerts at the village campsites can go on until 11pm.
The village center is about a 20-minute walk away, with access to the lovely Wednesday morning market and other shops.

The spots

There are only a few pitches available, as a large part is used for olive groves. We therefore offer pitches for a maximum of 5-6 people, i.e. a maximum of two or three tents. Larger tents (over 5 m wide or long) cannot be accommodated. We generally accept no more than two requests at the same time, to preserve the peace and quiet of the micro-farm.
Pitches are located on the terraces. You have to go down one or two terraces to access them. The stairs have few steps, but can be restrictive for young children.
The land is made up entirely of terraces, so to access the sanitary facilities, you have to climb the stone steps back to the main residence.
If there are no volunteers on the farm, there is a common room with access to a coffeemaker, teapot and microwave.

The sanitary facilities

The toilet and shower are located in a separate part of the main residence and are reserved for your use. We will give you the keys so that you can access them at any time. Possibility to use the washing machine: 2€ euros/machine.

The amenities

We have wifi but the network is not available on the pitch, only in the living room and at the garden table and barbecue.
Equipment available= electric coffee maker - electric teapot - refrigerator - microwave oven
food: salt - pepper - sugar - barbecue and charcoal

electricity available in living room and bathroom.

The activities

river 5 minutes by car - 15 minutes on foot

On the farm, you can discover the work we do, and we'll be happy to share some of our market-gardening techniques.

  • We were warmly welcomed by Morgane and Facundo, who provided everything we needed for a pleasant stay (bathroom, toilet, fridge, rest area, library, etc.). The view over the village of Joyeuse is superb. We recommend it!
Thank you Morgane and Facundo for welcoming us into your space, and good luck with your great project!

  • Thanks to morgane and facundo for their welcome.
Very nice location, we had a pleasant stay.

  • Morgane and Facundo are two very pleasant hosts, committed to many noble causes. Their house is on the side of the road, with a terraced garden that slopes down steeply. Each individual terrace is narrow, but we had no difficulty in pitching our medium-sized tent (albeit with the obligation to carry our belongings a hundred meters). There's a superb view over Joyeuse and the site faces due south. We also benefited from a large room in the house facing south.
If our overall experience was disappointing, it was in no way the fault of our hosts. In fact, their plot lies under a relatively busy road, and we were awakened every night by vehicles. In addition, the view of Joyeuse, with its riverside campsites, has a hidden disadvantage: the parties, which are numerous in summer. Restaurant singers, night market sound systems, campsite discos - we had a front-row seat. That's why we left after two nights (out of the four we'd booked).

  • Thank you for your welcome and your flexibility. We had a great time camping with our family thanks to faundo.

  • Great welcome by Morgane and Facundo,
Very pleasant land under the olive trees, with a great view and the comfort of the sanitary facilities in addition!
I recommend it with my eyes closed!

  • Great experience with Morgane and Facundo. Caring and welcoming people. Morgane was very helpful during our stay. Located in the nature, we had every morning view on the valley of Joyeuse.

  • Morgane and Facundo are very warm and passionate hosts.
Excellent stay in contact with nature, with all the necessary comfort for a return to simple things.
Thank you for all the moments shared and the numerous advices on agroecology, permaculture and handicrafts.
The region is beautiful, villages, rivers, to discover by bike...
Thanks to the chicks for their very good eggs...
    We will come back.
Good luck for all your projects!

  • Great welcome by Morgane and her companion, 2 days spent in peace. I even had the right to a small course of permaculture. I recommend with my eyes closed ;-)
