Description

Located between Nevers, Moulins, Bourges and Saint Amand Montrond in the heart of France, 280 kilometers from Paris, 260 kilometers from Lyon, in a wild Berry full of history.
For those who want a place without telephone, television, computer it is ideal.

The setting

The children will have the possibility of going to see shetland ponies in the meadows or to make huts in the small wood after having crossed a lookout on the river Arcueil (boots are advised).

The spots

The proposed place where you will be able to settle with your motor home or your tent is located at the edge of a small pond where the amateurs of fishing will be able to relax.
Several places will be proposed to you, plots, pond, place on the river side, place on the wood side or open field. All these plots are closed.

Dry toilets are at your disposal.

The campers will be able to empty their toilets and garbage cans at the edge of the canal where receptacles are provided by the municipality.

Bruère Allichamps, the geographical center of France with the magnificent abbey of NOIRLAC where it is organized concerts, sounds and lights.
Saint-Amand Montrond, its historical district with many gastronomic restaurants, the canal of Berry, the city of gold...

The possibilities of visits are numerous for the walkers of the paths marked out for great excursions like the way of Compostelle which cross Berry.

From Sancoins the walkers or cyclists will be able to join several medieval villages by small paths and country roads like:
Sagonne where they will discover the 12th century castle where the medieval festival takes place every summer.
Apremont sur Allier, one of the most beautiful flowered villages in France with its castle, its museum and a floral park, located on the banks of the Allier where canoe enthusiasts will be able to take a break and go back to the Bec d'Allier and the Guetin.
This trip can be done by leaving with your canoe, from the village Le Veurdre.
This walk on a wild river where you will be able to see various species of birds, herons, storks, cormorants, white egrets, kingfishers and many other species living on this beautiful river (To your cameras).
