Description

Friends cyclists, hikers and travelers in van.
We propose you a closed ground of 400m ² located at approximately 1km of the green way at 15 km of Caen.
You will have a cabin equipped with 2 sanitary facilities (dry toilets and traditional toilet and shower with water heater) and a covered area with a kitchen (sink, stove, kitchen utensils, dishes, storage cabinet, table and chairs) to enjoy a sheltered evening.
There is no electricity on site; we offer the loan of an extension cord (with an extra charge). Our facility will be closed when it gets cold.
Animals are accepted as long as they do not scare our chickens, which will be your neighbors.

The setting

This space is quiet, surrounded by trees at the bottom of our land, next to the field occupied by our chickens and guinea pigs.
The kitchen is sheltered from the wind, facing south/southeast so you can enjoy the sun during the day and evening. There are shady spots as well.

The spots

The terrain is flat, but not accessible to large vehicles (over 5 meters)
Can hold two 6-person tents or 3 vans

The sanitary facilities

As we are passionate about natural construction, we built this shelter with a wooden frame and straw structure walls for the sanitary facilities
We installed a gas water heater for the hot water of the shower

The amenities

We provide dishes and pots and pans, a stove, basics as well as a cooler/fridge and a storage cabinet.
Electricity is available with an extension cord (extra charge).

The activities

At about 1KM from the "vélofrancette", our land is an ideal stopover, at 27km from Ouistreham and 16 km from Caen, at the doors of the Suisse Normande.
For the amateurs of paddle or canoe who are equipped, the Orne is also with approximately 1km.

Other things

For more cultural activities, you can discover the Roman vestiges of the regions that we will be able to indicate to you at approximately 5km (museum of Vieux la Romaine)

Rules

We expect our guests to respect the cleanliness of the premises by using the garbage cans provided and cleaning the equipment provided. Parents should ensure that children do not frighten animals.
Campfires are not possible due to the proximity of a wooden building.
We can put a barbecue at your disposal if it is not too windy

  • We were warmly welcomed by Caroline and Michel, who showed us around their magnificent garden.
The camping area is spacious, out of sight and sound, and we found it very quiet.
On site we had toilets, showers (with hot water!) and cooking facilities (stove and fridge).
We had the option of drawing a curtain so we could eat in the shade.
When we left, Michel and Caroline invited us in for a coffee, as they have a very interesting story to tell.
Go there without hesitation. Enjoy Normandy from their cosy little nest!

  • Perfect and quiet place.
Very friendly welcome, top equipment and animals to enjoy. The ideal of camping!

  • Michel and Caroline are very welcoming. The little welcome drink was just perfect to get to know this couple who built their house and landscaped their land themselves!
The land is a little piece of paradise. Perfectly arranged for visitors.
Whether in a tent, van or cc, there is everything you need to have a great time
What a pleasure to see the little chicks frolicking around us in the morning and the guinea pigs playing hide and seek in their tuyeau!
Not to mention the lovely vegetable garden and the little frog ponds!
Thank you again for welcoming us and we hope to see you again in the future who knows on the road ....
