Land at the entrance of the village of Sainte-Orse in Dordogne, quiet

The setting

The land is located at the entrance of the village of Sainte Orse, the access is by a path.
On the land there is also a pen with my animals: 2 dwarf goats and chickens!
You are in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by fields, close to the road leading to a larger village: Thenon.
There are few nuisances except for the sounds of nature!

The site has 2 shaded and flat pitches, far from each other.
The ground has a "meadow" part (maintained) and an undergrowth part
The access to the site is via a rather narrow beech path, but practicable with a vehicle (including van and small camping car).

The sanitary facilities

No access to showers or sanitary facilities or water or electricity for the moment

Possibility to provide badminton, petanque, and ball sports.

The activities

Located in the Périgord Noir, Sainte-Orse is a small village of 350 inhabitants, with shops in the village (bar - tobacco - restaurant, grocery store and post office).

Direct access to hiking trails (hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding)

To visit :
- at less than 15 km, Grotte de Tourtoirac and château de Hautefort.
- less than 25 km, Lascaux cave and Vézère valley.
- at less than 35 km, Terrasson or Les Eyzies, world capital of prehistory

5 minutes from Thenon train station (Bordeaux - Brive line)
10 minutes from the A 89 (Bordeaux - Clermont-Ferrand axis) exit Thenon
Far from nuisances but close to communication routes leading to tourist attractions!

Rules

On the land there is a pen with my animals (2 dwarf goats and chickens), please do not feed the animals.
I live in the village, but would be present daily on the land for the care of the animals and the maintenance of the vegetable garden in season!

  • A perfect welcome, a space in the middle of nature with goats and chickens!

  • Very nice and calm place without other people. Mathilde was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. There are also two lovely goats and some chicken. A toilet would be nice.
    We would definitely visit the place again.
