Description

Large shaded plot of land in the heart of the national park of the Landes de Gascogne welcomes those who wish to enjoy nature in a traditional and rustic environment

The setting

The airial is an open area in the forest, not fenced. A traditional house, a barn and a sheepfold are installed on a ground of nearly 8 000 m², where you will be able to install yourselves freely, full sun or with the shelter of the oaks. The village (bar, tobacconist's, newspaper shop, supermarket, bakery, library) is 5 mn away on foot, and Mont de Marsan is 20 mn away by car. The beaches of Contis and Mimizan are at 45 mn by car, and many hikes in the forest are from the village. We are in the middle of a natural park : frequent deer and wild boar.

The spots

It is a free placement on the land, at your convenience. The land being large, you will have all the space necessary, without nuisance or opposite. The land is flat, and crossed by a road. The vehicles will settle preferably at the edge of the road to avoid silting up.
Bicentennial oaks provide shade in the summer, but full sun space is available for those who want to avoid the humidity in the spring.

The sanitary facilities

The land is not equipped for the moment. You will have free access to the common part of the house: kitchen, shower room and toilet. A water tap is accessible from the outside. ATTENTION : THERE IS NO HOT WATER

The amenities

An extension cord can be made available to you. The site is not equipped with Wifi, but you can get 4G from your phone.
We are on a traditional and environmentally friendly reception: no microwave, an Italian coffee maker and a kettle to put on the fire, a gas stove with oven and a fridge . no freezer.

The activities

The eco-museum of Marquèze is at 10 mn by car, and many hikes are accessible from the village. Canoeing base 15mn by car during the summer season.
A swimming pool (indoor and outdoor pool) is open in the village (10 mn walk, accessible by bike by track)
Mont de marsan is 20 mn away by car, many museums and animations in summer and winter, "treasure hunt" walks all year long to discover the city. You will find in the kitchen the tourist brochures of the moment.
Festival of Luxey at 20 mn by car.
I am here all summer and will be happy to inform you about the possibilities of discovering the region.

Other things

I am opening this property to encourage encounters, to help people discover this traditional Landes country that I love, and to put the human touch back into a world that is becoming dehumanized. The conditions of reception are not at the level of an airbnb, but the smile and the conviviality will be there. The site is not currently equipped for people in wheelchairs, but contact me if necessary, there is always a way to arrange it.
If needed, we practice the LSF.

Rules

Please note that the land is not fenced, if you come with animals.
Airial located in a natural park : no wild waste deposit, no waste water discharge in the forest, no fire possible outside the barbecue. Be careful with your cigarettes.
No schedule either, but here, we pay attention to our neighbors when there are some.

The breakfast is taken in group with the people in presence, or in an autonomous way. It is self-service.

  • No prepared sites. Very bumpy ground, subject to nocturnal work by moles. Rude sanitary facilities. Very poorly signposted .
