Description

Almost 80 acres to explore! Check out the huge rocky ravine complete with a waterfall! Walk through hardwood and evergreen forests and walk through the glade rock forest!
With Calico Rock and the World Famous White River just 5 minutes away not to mention being in the Ozark National Forest with even more trails and attractions there is plenty to do!

The setting

Middle of the woods or edge of the ravine or out in the field, wherever you prefer to camp. (And where you can get to) Vehicular camping is restricted to the open field. Wherever you decide to stay, clear nights in nature await you.

The spots

There are several tent sites around the property to choose from. Many are level but a few have a slope and are nestled among the giant oaks. Driving down to the RV sites may be difficult in the winter and early spring when the mud is deep. Hike at your own risk!

The sanitary facilities

Right now we are starting out so we do not have anything yet, but outhouses will be coming soon. To be followed by an outdoor shower and maybe some other things as circumstances allow.

The amenities

We are just getting started here in early 2022 so amenities are few, you will truly be roughing it. I will help as much as I can.
I plan to soon have an outhouse or two, maybe an outdoor shower plus picnic tables and firewood waiting for you at each campsite
We have excellent cellular reception as there is a tower a mile away.

The activities

Here on our property, it is a hiker's dream as we have hardwood and evergreen forests, the glade forest area to the south, and a large rocky ravine with a waterfall and high cliffs to explore not to mention the spring that once brought piped in water to the old farmhouse.
Keep in mind this is nature! Dangers abound including high cliffs, loose and large rocks not to mention various animals including skunks and snakes among others! Hike at your own risk!
You won't find another camping area like this, 5 minutes to Calico Rock (Stores and restaurants) with so much to do and see in the area, hiking trails, Gunner Pool, and Blanchard caverns, since we are surrounded by the Ozark National Forest!
Not to mention, world-class trout fishing or kayaking just 5 minutes away in the famous White River! Only 25 minutes to Norfork Lake, too!

Other things

You are welcome to explore the entire property except, of course, our yard and house area. Please remain on my property as I cannot guarantee my neighbors welcome visitors as we do here at Spring Holler Farm! Please do not deface anything and clean up after yourself so it will be just as awesome for the next person. 1. To get to the camping area... Turn onto Spring Holler Rd then left onto the driveway marked on the tree with the address, 223, and an arrow. If I am not there, campers and RV's go North (left)immediately upon entering past gatepost. and down the hill to the marked area. Tent campers will need to select a site, park near the RV area and finish by walking, if I am not there to greet you, otherwise I may be able to assist you.

Rules

1. Please respect our privacy, other camper's privacy and most of all nature. Please refrain from too much noise or being too close, especially after dark, near our home here and other campsites.
2. Be sure to clean up after yourself and your group. Please do not leave litter or deface anything while you are here. We want this place to be as awesome for the next guys as it is for you. 3.You are free to explore the entire property except up around our house and yard. Please stay inside our property as our neighbors may not be as welcoming as we are. Be mindful of plants and animals and try to not disturb them, (our resident skunk will take care of itself!) Also, night exploration is strongly discouraged as there are many 50+ foot dropoffs with rocks below. 4. While you may need to climb over some large rocks in the bottom of the gorge or along the hillsides in order to explore, there will be NO VERTICAL ROCK CLIMBING allowed as many of the rocks are loose and unstable. If you do, you could be seriously injured or die. We are NOT responsible for accidents or animal encounters, hike and explore at your own risk! 5. No hunting or shooting of any kind while staying with us. (One exception might be a venomous snake) Keep foodstuffs tightly covered and possibly even hung from a treelimb at 6 feet as bears have rarely been seen in these woods before and you do not want a visit from them. 6. If you open a gate, please close it and do not damage fences as there may be livestock in some areas of Spring Holler Farm 7. No dirtbike or 4 wheeler riding with the exception of to and from camp as necessary. 8. HAVE A GOOD TIME AND DON"T FORGET TO LEAVE A GREAT REVIEW!
