Description

We welcome you in the olive trees and green oaks, to camp in the middle of nature! At the entrance of the natural park of Alpilles, a pleasant place to go for a walk, to climb or to visit the surrounding villages.
Lots of space, but no outdoor facilities dedicated to camping (except water and electricity).

The setting

Large plot of land at the entrance of the natural park of Alpilles: olive trees, holm oaks and almond trees. Lots of sun, some shaded areas.
Possibility to go for a walk directly from your tent or van.

Large lot with plenty of room, and some shaded sites.
The ground is flat, with a lot of stones
Possibility to pitch a tent or park a camper.

The activities

We are next to the village of Mouries, in the Alpilles.
Many activities in the surroundings :
- walks in the olive trees directly from the house
- visit of the surrounding villages and provencal markets (Saint Rémy, Maussane, les Baux de Provence, Eygalières, Arles)
- sea at 45 minutes (Camargue or blue coast)
- rock climbing
- lots of hiking in the natural park of Alpilles

Other things

Possibility to see the 2 dogs of the neighboring house.

Rules

We welcome campers in our home, for the pleasure of discovering our region and meeting other travelers. We have not set up our site to welcome campers full time.
So we prefer one-off stays (1,2,3 nights) rather than longer.

Most of the equipment (toilets, bathrooms) being at our place, we prefer autonomous travelers (van, camping car), but we can put these rooms at your disposal during the day for 1 or 2 persons for short stays.

We will be happy to discuss your needs.
We are flexible on arrival times.

Fire and smoking are not welcome in this beautiful dry area.

Situation

  • Pleasant stay in a great location at the foot of the Alpilles, surrounded by olive trees;
    Our hosts were charming and made us feel very welcome.
    We didn't have much time to talk, but we did learn how the meadows of the Crau plain were irrigated.
    2 cute kids.
    And the soil not so stony...
    Rain and thunderstorm on the first night, which didn't bother us too much.
