I will welcome you warmly, in the greatest simplicity in a unique setting, isolated but close to amenities, with a breathtaking view of the ponds and the sea, for nature lovers only.
See you soon

The setting

You'll be staying on a former vineyard plot, just a few minutes from the Aresquiers beach, a listed, protected site. A cycle path gives you safe access without having to worry about parking.
Calm, tranquility and relaxation will be the themes of your stay. You'll also be able to enjoy produce (seasonal vegetables and organic eggs) from the on-site micro-farm, as well as honey from the neighboring beekeeper, and a shellfish producer just a few minutes away, all accessible by bike.

The spots

I offer two 60m2 and two 40m2 pitches, accessible to motorhomes and vans. Access is easy and independent. As mentioned in the description of the setting, this is a vineyard, where vegetation grows spontaneously, but there is no shade as such. An awning would be a plus for your comfort.

The sanitary facilities

The site has no sanitary facilities, which is why I prefer to welcome camping cars and vans, which have their own supply of clean and dirty water, as well as the necessary equipment to ensure their comfort.

The amenities

I have a wifi internet line (being in the countryside, the network is limited, which will allow you to really be on vacation without being cut off from the world... :) ) . The plot is bare, with no water or electricity for this first year, as for the sanitary facilities, so you'll need to bring your own equipment for meals. However, the shellfish producer ("la ferme marine des Aresquiers", you can visit their site), located around 800m away, offers evening meals and concert evenings at weekends.

The activities

The site is just a few kilometers (I'd say 3 maximum without having measured) from Les Aresquiers beach, accessible by bike (10 min). There's a riding school 5 minutes away, and several hiking trails 10 km away. The towns of Sète and Montpellier are about 20 km away (museums, cinema, etc.).

Other things

To sum up, I would like to welcome you to a wild and unspoilt site where you can forget the often hectic pace of our modern lives for a few days; leave your car on site without fear and get around by bike. The village has all the necessary amenities (grocery store, pharmacy, butcher's shop, bar, etc.).

I prefer to welcome families from June to August inclusive, the pitches are designed to accommodate 5 people each, and I'm quite flexible about arrival and departure times. All I ask is that you respect the site and each other (no garbage left on site, respect for neighbors). I live on site, I am available for any information, help ...
I love animals, they are welcome, I have some myself (donkey, horse, chickens, dogs and cat); only condition: do not leave traces of their passage :)
I'll be happy to welcome you if you feel like retiring from the world for a few days.
Best regards,

Land & setting
  • Very simple but beautiful

  • An idyllic setting in the heart of the vineyards, overlooking the pond. An unforgettable sunset and sunrise. A warm hostess. We just love it!

  • Very quiet spot, as described. Very friendly welcome from Alix.

    We'll be back!

  • Is located as described in the middle of vines. 100% self-sufficiency is necessary (as described by Alix). Nice reception, Alix speaks English, 15min by bike to the sea, nice little village for grocery shopping about 5 min by bike away. We definitely want to go back to Alix.

  • Our host was very welcoming.
We arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning.
    But everything was great. ????

  • Nice and secluded but disturbed all night by barking dogs, too bad.

  • Great place in the middle of nature to spend a few nights. We were alone, so it was very intimate and absolutely quiet.

  • Alix is top notch, the locations are great and I can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks Alix

  • Booked instantly, Alix waited for us on the side of the road to show us where to set up. We were the 3rd (out of a possible 4) and last of the evening to set up on a large, flat pitch close to the vineyards. We thoroughly enjoyed this quiet experience in the middle of nature.

  • Great pitch in the middle of nature!
Friendly hostess and the sea is only 10 minutes away by bike!

  • Alix is very welcoming, and it's a great pleasure to arrive in this little corner of paradise!
Everything is accessible by bike! It was perfect!

  • Alix is very welcoming! A lovely, landscaped plot in the heart of the vineyards,
Everyone has their own corner and there's plenty of space,
    The sunset is really beautiful,
The beach is right next door ( 5min by car , 15min by bike )

  • Thank you Alix for the stay in your beautiful part of the world!

  • Thanks to Alix, great stay, really between mountains and sea, I'll be back but with a bike ????
    Sincerely sylviane

  • Warm welcome, quiet, accessible location, great bike ride.

  • I didn't know about this "home-stay" option, as I'm more used to the "wild". It's a good, economical alternative on the coast, where CCs are either hunted down, ticketed or parked tole to tole.
Alix does us the favor of sharing her simple, healthy lifestyle. She's an extremely friendly and welcoming person, and I'd be delighted to come back!

  • Pentecost weekend at Alix and Aresquiers beach perfect. Quiet, safe location, superb views of the pond on one side and the Gardiole massif on the other.
    Thank you very much.

  • A warm welcome, wilderness and peace and quiet. This spot is inexpensive but has no water or water points (except at the locals'). We recommend it!

  • We spent four days at Alix's place, we were alone on the land, the place is very quiet with the birds singing and 10 minutes of bicycle farther we are on the beach! The communication is good, we were even lent a mixer to make our pancakes! We will come back and we recommend

  • Warm welcome from Alix. She gave us good advice. We had a pleasant stay. Very quiet location in the middle of nature.

  • Very pleasant and welcoming host, with good addresses for dinner in the surrounding villages.
Spot located in the middle of the vineyards and close to the ponds and the beach. Quiet and restful place
Provide an arbour or something else in order to have a shady spot if you book in the middle of summer

  • Alix is responsive and pleasant. I felt welcomed with kindness. The view on La Gardiole on one side and the ponds on the other is superb. The beach of Aresquiers is only 5mn by car. Lack of shade for the summer perhaps. I will surely come back.

  • Great place close to the bike path a quiet place close to everything. Thanks to alix for his welcome.

  • Already mentioned in some comments, the beach access is not so idyllic
The place is in the countryside, quiet
Alix is very very pleasant and available, we left more quickly than expected because of mosquitoes and hunters in the vineyard (yes, September ...)

  • For me it's a great pleasure to be here in the middle of the birds, the flowers, the silence and the kindness of Alix

  • Very peaceful place! I was all alone, it was perfect!

  • Friendly and welcoming host. Ideal location to visit Sète and its surroundings.

  • Very nice and responsive host and very quiet and beautiful place.

  • A beautiful pitch, at first quite unspectacular. The proximity to beautiful beaches (a few minutes walk or bike) and the deep black night with starry sky have made this place something very special.

Alix is super sweet and caring, gives great tips, but on the other hand preserves privacy.

Unfortunately only been there one night, next time definitely longer!

Thank you Alix, we felt very comfortable! Thanks for sharing your place of residence!

  • Certainly a very nice place but not suitable for caravan travelers. Alix very communicative and available.

  • Close to all amenities, the pond and beaches (accessible by bike or on foot, if walkers)
    Very good reception

  • The picture is misleading but very nice.
To reach the beach it is much more complicated than on the picture.

  • Great welcome, accommodating and full of kindness. Thank you again and good continuation!

  • Ohlala it was great! A real meeting with Alix and the place! Ideally located in this preserved area, the beach is sublime, the village welcoming and Alix and her family adorable. We will come back! Thank you !!!!!

  • In the quiet of the vineyards. Perfect welcome. Lacks a few amenities otherwise good

  • It was a very good stop on our bike trip ! A big thank you to Alix who really took care of us !

  • Very good reception! Land as described, beach and village at a few minutes by bike.
We enjoyed our stay very much

  • Very good welcome and advice from Alix. Flat, clean and delimited site in the middle of the vineyards. Peace and quiet with the birds singing in the morning.

The must small donkey and horse that we could go to see for our young child + walk in the middle of the vineyards.

    Thank you for the welcome

  • Great welcome. Alice having seen that we had passed in front of the ground without seeing it caught up with us to lead us to the right place. Great ride to the sea, by a beautiful bike path.

  • Alix is super nice, the spot is perfect for activities around Vic-la-Gardiole (Ferme de Marine, Mas de Jacquet). Very calm.

  • Great, just passing through for a night, Alix is a very warm person, she welcomed us on her beautiful land, not far from the beach, very quiet. I recommend it!

  • Alix is very friendly and present whenever we need her. Her place is very quiet and we could admire 2 fireworks at the same time from our van. Thank you to her and good luck for the future. ????

  • Alix came to look for us because the place is difficult to find; it is just magnificent in the middle of vineyards at 20/25' on foot from the sea; it is necessary to be in complete autonomy because there is, for the moment, neither water, nor electricity.... nor shade (it was 36 degrees, it was a little hard)
We spent a really "disconnected" was a great experience...we will come back!

  • Everything is perfectly described except the hostess who is a marvel of humanity with a fabulous empathy that invigorates.
The landscape is also surprisingly calm and full of birds
