Description

We welcome you on our nice and quiet land, on the edge of the forest, on the heights of Montignac. No immediate neighborhood or noise pollution. Just the birds, the deer, and the wind in the branches. We propose just 3 pitches, for tents for 2 to 3 persons maximum. It's the guarantee of a little privacy and tranquility.
Open from mid May to mid September.

The setting

In the heart of the forest, the place is very quiet and very pretty. Open on the surrounding woods, you will be able to see deers, squirrels... and go hiking without taking the car. And yet we are only 10 minutes walk from the center of Montignac with all its shops, farmers' markets, Lascaux caves... Our concept: a place of sharing and respect of the environment. Sharing the kitchen, the terrace, and good moments between simple and benevolent people. And ecological because we sort waste, compost for our vegetable garden, mow with our goats, limit lighting, offer solar shower bags, and provide natural homemade soap and toothpaste.

The spots

A small area is provided for parking cars but the access is on a slope and does not allow access with a camping car or a van. We can therefore only accommodate people with light vehicles.
The pitches are quite small, so we only accept tents for 2 to 3 people maximum. In a shaded area almost all day long, they are very pleasant. There is no water and electricity but you have free access to it a few meters away, in the common hut.

The sanitary facilities

The common hut is at your disposal 24 hours a day. You will find a kitchen with a terrace, tables and chairs, a dry toilet, a washbasin with cold water, a classic shower with hot water, and a little further on a "natural" shower with solar shower bags at your disposal.

The amenities

In the common hut, several electrical outlets are available and drinking water points. You have access 24 hours a day to the kitchen area with sink, fridge, oven, gas stove, all the products of 1st necessity (salt, pepper, oil, spices, dish soap, cloth, toilet paper...). On the sanitary side you have a sink, 1 dry toilet and 1 shower. Also a "natural" shower under a tree, which works with solar bags that heat naturally during the day. Industrial shower gels, shampoos and toothpastes are forbidden but we leave at your disposal natural home-made products.

The activities

We are in the heart of the Périgord Noir and the Vallée de l'Homme. Here the activities do not miss: visits of villages among the most beautiful of France (Montignac, Saint Amand de Coly, Saint Léon sur Vézère, Sarlat...), hikes, troglodyte and prehistoric sites (Lascaux, les Eyzies...), caves and chasms, canoeing on the Vézère river, fishing, ... The region is beautiful!

Other things

We also rent 2 unusual accommodations: 2 geodesic domes with panoramic view on the nature, 1 double bed.
On the site, you will be able to let your imagination speak, to reconnect with the essential, to meditate... thanks to our "Wish Tree", our "Abracad'Hamac" space, our "Manjmo" totem pole or our "Words to hurt" space!

Rules

Arrivals from 3 pm - Departures before 11 am.
The pitches must be left free of all personal effects and clean.

  • We had a great stay in a beautiful setting!
We made beautiful meetings around the campfire☺️
Thanks to Nathalie for her welcome!

  • Very beautiful site. Be careful if you arrive with a bike without a VAE, the access is very difficult. Very peaceful site where we would have liked to spend a little more time than one night.

  • Hello, I had an excellent stay. I felt very well received. The course of the stay was simple and smooth. The campsite is well located, both close to the center and very quiet.
