Description

We welcome you to our lovely, wooded, quiet plot on the edge of the forest, on the heights of Montignac. No immediate neighbors or noise pollution. Just birds, deer and the wind in the branches. We offer just 3 pitches for a small tent for 2 or 3 people maximum. That's your guarantee of privacy and peace and quiet.
Open from mid-May to mid-September.

The setting

Set in the heart of the forest, it's a very quiet and pretty place. Open to the surrounding woods, you can spot deer, squirrels... and go hiking without taking the car. And yet we're only a 10-minute walk from the center of Montignac with all its shops, farmers' markets, Lascaux caves... Our concept: a place for sharing and respecting the environment. Sharing the kitchen, the terrace and good times between simple, caring people. And ecological, because we sort waste, compost for our vegetable garden, mow with our goats, limit lighting, offer solar shower bags, and provide natural, homemade soap and toothpaste.

The spots

There is a small area for parking cars, but the access is on a slope and does not allow access with a camping car or converted van. We can therefore only accommodate people with light vehicles.
The pitches are quite small, so we only accept tents for 2 to 3 people maximum. Shaded for most of the day, they are very pleasant. There's no water or electricity, but you have free access to it a few meters away, in the communal hut.

The sanitary facilities

The shared hut is available 24 hours a day. You'll find 1 fitted kitchen with terrace, tables and chairs, 1 dry toilet, 1 washbasin area with cold water, 1 classic hot-water shower, and a little further on 1 "nature" shower with solar shower bags.

The amenities

In the shared cabin, several electrical outlets and drinking water points are available. You have 24-hour access to a kitchenette with sink, fridge, oven, gas stove and all the basic necessities (salt, pepper, oil, spices, dish soap, tea towels, toilet paper, etc.). Sanitary facilities include a washbasin, 1 dry toilet and 1 shower. There's also a "natural" shower under a tree, powered by solar bags that heat up naturally during the day. Industrial shower gels, shampoos and toothpastes are forbidden, but we leave natural homemade products at your disposal.

The activities

We're in the heart of Périgord Noir and the Vallée de l'Homme. Here, there's no shortage of activities: visits to some of France's most beautiful villages (Montignac, Saint Amand de Coly, Saint Léon sur Vézère, Sarlat...), hiking, troglodyte and prehistoric sites (Lascaux, les Eyzies...), caves and chasms, canoeing on the Vézère, fishing... The region is magnificent!

Other things

We also rent 2 unusual accommodations: 2 geodesic domes with panoramic views of nature, 1 double bed.
On site, you can let your imagination run wild, reconnect with the essential, meditate... thanks to our "Wish Tree", our "Abracad'Hammock" space, our "Manjmo" totem pole and our "Mots à maux" space!

Rules

Arrivals from 3 pm - Departures before 11 am.
Pitches must be left clean and free of personal belongings.
Domes must be left clean.
Children are welcome, but Arborea is a place of calm and contemplation; there are no children's games or swimming pools.

  • It exudes nature. 3 very nice nights on the edge of the forest. Very well appointed with optional outdoor solar shower. Many thanks to Nathalie and her husband for their warm welcome.

  • Very nice!

  • We had a great stay in a beautiful setting!
We made beautiful meetings around the campfire☺️
Thanks to Nathalie for her welcome!

  • Very beautiful site. Be careful if you arrive with a bike without a VAE, the access is very difficult. Very peaceful site where we would have liked to spend a little more time than one night.

  • Hello, I had an excellent stay. I felt very well received. The course of the stay was simple and smooth. The campsite is well located, both close to the center and very quiet.
