At the crossroads of Perigord Noir and Perigord Pourpre, 35 minutes from Bergerac to the west and 40 minutes from Sarlat to the east, Domaine de l'Epine Noire is ideally located for exploring the southern Dordogne.

In the heart of the department's most beautiful bastides (Monpazier, Domme, Eymet, Villefranche du Perigord, Beaumont du Périgord), just a stone's throw from 9 of France's most beautiful villages, our old Périgord stone farmhouse is hidden away at the end of a cul-de-sac, within 10 hectares of wild nature in a peaceful little hamlet.

Do you dream of nature, peace and quiet, authenticity... Come and enjoy a little corner of the Périgord countryside where you can relax, read, relax, listen to birdsong, play a game of badminton, watch our goats, sheep and chicks play, discover wild flowers...

For a long stay or just a weekend, under the summer sun or in the cool spring mornings, escape to Périgord and stay on our estate. Park your van, caravan or motorhome on our grounds.

The activities

The Périgord region is bursting with all kinds of activities.
If you're an old stone lover, castles, fortified houses and medieval villages are everywhere.
If you're more the sporting type, discover the Dordogne on foot, canoe, bike or electric scooter.
Every morning, the surrounding villages offer local produce markets.
And many other treasures: caves, chasms, troglodytic houses, remarkable gardens, etc...
Le Buisson de Cadouin station is 5 minutes away, from where you can explore the "petrol-free" département by train, bus or bike. Everything is explained in the guide "La Dordogne sans pétrole", available on the Internet and at railway stations.

Other things

Thank you for driving gently around the corner, our dog is free to roam the grounds, children and chickens come and go and everyone enjoys the peace and quiet.
If you're looking for a nature vacation, you'll do well at Domaine de l'Epine Noire.

Rules

Please respect the peace and quiet, the premises, the animals and the plantations.
Please drive at a slow pace, as animals, children and walkers may be in your way.
Watch out for your cigarettes and cigarette butts if you smoke. In fine weather, fires can start quickly and everyone will appreciate not finding cigarette butts on the ground, nature first.
We accept dogs, but only on a leash, and only if they are quiet and not noisy. Please pick up after them.
Campfires are forbidden.
Please do not make too much (email hidden)You'll find garbage bins all over the Dordogne, so we don't take your garbage cans.
However, vegetable and fruit peelings can be put on the compost heap in the vegetable garden.

Finally, it is strictly FORBIDDEN to feed animals...
You can approach them, stroke them, feed them with us. Just ask us, and we'll be delighted to show you around our little farm.

  • Very nice setting and very clean living spaces and bathrooms. Unfortunately we did not meet the hosts. The small minuses : the tent pitches are not very flat and have no shade, we can hear the road which is quite busy and there are a lot of people so the wait at the bathroom can be long :)

Very rare to find a home camper at this price with such comfort. Very pleasant to take care of the dwarf goats, the chickens and the sheep. I recommend this home camper without hesitation. We really appreciated this stay in the middle of nature while having just nearby amenities (kitchen, shower room) of very high quality.
