Description

At the intersection of the Perigord Noir and Pourpre, 35 minutes from Bergerac to the west and 40 minutes from Sarlat to the east, the Domaine de l'Epine Noire is ideally situated to discover the southern Dordogne.

In the heart of the most beautiful bastides of the department (Monpazier, Domme, Eymet, Villefranche du Perigord, Beaumont du Périgord), close to 9 of the most beautiful villages of France, our old Périgord stone farmhouse is hidden at the end of a cul-de-sac, in the heart of 10 hectares of wild nature in a small peaceful hamlet.

The setting

You dream of nature, of calm, of authenticity... Come and take advantage of a small corner of the Perigordian countryside to rest, read, laze around, listen to the birds singing, play badminton, observe the games of our goats, sheep and chicks, discover the wild flowers...

For a long stay or just a weekend, under the summer sun, in the freshness of spring mornings, escape to Perigord and stay in our domain. Come and put your van, your caravan or your camping car on our land.

This year, we can no longer offer you access to the sanitary facilities or the kitchen, but if you are autonomous, you can come and enjoy a quiet and secure place, your feet in the grass...
The announced price is 1 price per vehicle, nothing more.

No access to the bathroom this year, so sorry.

The amenities

A brand new kitchen is at your disposal with gas plates, microwave, coffee machine, and everything to cook and eat (pots, dishes, plates, glasses, cutlery...).
We come by every day to clean up but we thank you for making sure that the place remains welcoming.
Please do your dishes, sponge the work surface and sweep the floor from time to time.
You will also find sockets for recharging phones, computers, tablets and cameras.
The sanitary facilities and the kitchen are located under a large shed, which we call La Halle. Under this hall, we also offer a small sitting area and a large table for convivial meals.

The activities

The Périgord is full of all kinds of activities.
You like old stones, here castles, fortified houses and medieval villages are everywhere.
If you are more of a sportsman, you can discover the Dordogne on foot, by canoe, by bike or by electric scooter.
Every morning, the surrounding villages offer their markets of local products.
And many other treasures : caves, chasms, troglodytic houses, remarkable gardens, etc...
The train station of Le Buisson de Cadouin is 5 minutes away, from there you can explore the department "without oil" : train, bus, bicycle. Everything is explained in the guide "La Dordogne sans pétrole" available on the internet and in the train stations.

Other things

Thanks for driving softly from the corner, our dog lives freely on the whole property, children and chickens come and go and everyone enjoys the calmness that reigns here.
If you are looking for a nature vacation, you will be well off at Domaine de l'Epine Noire.

Rules

Thank you for respecting the calm, the premises, the animals and the plantations.
Please drive at a slow pace, animals, children and walkers may be on your way.
Be careful with your cigarettes and cigarette butts if you are smokers. In good weather, fires can start quickly and everyone will appreciate not finding cigarette butts on the ground, nature first.
We accept dogs but only on a leash, quiet and not noisy. Thank you for picking up their little gifts.
Campfires are not allowed.
Do not make too much (email hidden)You will find garbage cans everywhere in the Dordogne, so we do not take your garbage.
However, for your vegetable and fruit peelings, you can put them on the compost in the vegetable garden.

Finally, it is strictly forbidden to feed animals...
You can approach them, pet them, give them food with us. Just ask us, we will be delighted to show you our little farm.

  • Very nice setting and very clean living spaces and bathrooms. Unfortunately we did not meet the hosts. The small minuses : the tent pitches are not very flat and have no shade, we can hear the road which is quite busy and there are a lot of people so the wait at the bathroom can be long :)

Very rare to find a home camper at this price with such comfort. Very pleasant to take care of the dwarf goats, the chickens and the sheep. I recommend this home camper without hesitation.
