Discover the pleasure of sleeping in a geodesic dome, under the canopy. The comfort of a good bed with the pleasure of sleeping to the sounds of the forest. An openwork section gives you a panoramic view of the sky and treetops. Its rounded shape makes it feel like a cocoon.
Our concept: a place for sharing and respecting the environment. Sharing the kitchen, the terrace and good times between simple, caring people. And ecological, because we sort waste, compost for our vegetable garden, mow with our goats, limit lighting, offer solar shower bags, and provide homemade natural soaps and toothpaste.
Open from mid-May to mid-September
The setting
Our 2 domes, "Sweet Dôme" and "Do'dôme", are located high up in the wooded part of our grounds, on a wooden terrace. You'll be surrounded by oaks, pines, hazelnuts... and you may even be lucky enough to spot a deer, as the grounds are not fenced. We're on the heights of Montignac, in a very quiet, unoverlooked location, on 1.5 hectares of land overlooking the forest. And yet we're only a 10-minute walk from the center of Montignac, with all its amenities. No car noise or light pollution, just the peace and quiet of the forest...
The spots
Our domes are equipped with a double bed, made on your arrival, a coffee table with 2 seats and a cabinet with a pitcher and an old-fashioned basin for your toilet. There's no water or electricity, but you'll find all you need in the nearby communal cabin, which is open to you 24 hours a day.
The sanitary facilities
The shared cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, gas stove, small oven, sink, crockery, 1st necessity products...) with a terrace with chairs and tables. On the other side, a bathroom with 1 dry toilet, 1 washbasin with mirror, and a shower. We also offer a "nature shower" under a tree, with solar shower bags provided. All freely accessible 24 hours a day.
The amenities
Access to the communal cabin is free. You'll find several electrical outlets. All the crockery you need for cooking and eating. And the basics: salt, pepper, spices, oil, vinegar, toilet paper.)
The activities
Montignac-Lascaux is in the heart of the Périgord Noir, the Vallée de l'Homme and the Vézère. It's a pretty, lively little town, with plenty to do on site and in the surrounding area. You can visit the Lascaux caves, go canoeing, discover numerous medieval villages, prehistoric or troglodyte sites, caves, castles... It's a magnificent region, hilly and wooded, steeped in history and full of friendly people!
