Description

Discover the pleasure of sleeping in a geodesic dome, under the canopy. The comfort of a good bed with the pleasure of sleeping to the sounds of the forest. An open-worked part offers you a panoramic view to observe the sky and the treetops. Its rounded shape makes you feel like in a cocoon.
Our concept: a place of sharing and respect for the environment. Sharing the kitchen, the terrace, and good moments between simple and benevolent people. And ecological because we sort waste, compost for our vegetable garden, mow with our goats, limit lighting, offer solar shower bags, and provide natural homemade soap and toothpaste.

The setting

Our 2 domes, "Sweet Dôme" and "Do'dôme" are located on the wooded part of our land, on a wooden terrace. You will be in the middle of oaks, pines, hazelnut trees... and you may have the chance to observe a deer, the ground not being fenced. We are on the heights of Montignac, in a very quiet place, without opposite, on 1,5 hectare of land which gives directly on the forest. And yet we are only 10 minutes walk from the center of Montignac, with all its amenities. At home, no car noise or light pollution, just the calm of the forest...

The spots

Our domes are equipped with a double bed, made on your arrival, a coffee table with 2 seats and a piece of furniture with a pitcher and an old-fashioned basin for the small toilet. There is neither water nor electricity but you will have all the conveniences in the common hut which is near and which is opened to you in free access 24h/24

The sanitary facilities

The common hut is composed on one side of a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, gas stove, small oven, sink, dishes, 1st necessity products...) with a terrace with chairs and tables. And on the other side a bathroom with a dry toilet, a washbasin with mirror, and a shower. And we also propose you a "nature-shower", under a tree, with solar shower bags provided. All this is freely available 24 hours a day.

The amenities

The access to the common cabin is free. You will find several power outlets. All the necessary dishes for cooking and eating. And the basic elements: salt, pepper, spices, oil, vinegar, toilet paper)

The activities

Montignac-Lascaux is in the heart of the Périgord Noir, the Valley of Man and the Vézère. It is a very pretty and dynamic little town, which offers a lot of activities on the spot and in the close surroundings. You can visit the caves of Lascaux, go canoeing, discover many medieval villages, prehistoric or troglodyte sites, caves, castles... It is a beautiful region, hilly and very wooded, full of history and very nice people!

Other things

Our site does not allow access to large vehicles such as camper vans or big vans.
On the site, you will be able to let your imagination speak, to reconnect with the essential, to meditate... thanks to our "Wish Tree", our "Abracad'Hamac" space, our "Modi" totem pole or our "Words of Woe" area!

Rules

Minimum rental of 2 nights during weekends and high season (July-August). Outside these periods, possibility of renting 1 night only. Arrivals from 3 pm. Departure at the latest at 11 am. It is forbidden to smoke in and around the domes, for fire safety reasons. You can smoke on the terrace of the common hut.
Children under 8 years old are not allowed in the domes, for safety reasons (the domes are high, with a guardrail)
No noise after 10 pm
Animals are not allowed in the domes to avoid disturbing the local wildlife and to give you a chance to see a wild animal.
