Description

On our small equestrian farm, you can pitch your tent in our horses' meadows, in their forest, or bring your van, caravan or camper van to the paved area. If the weather is bad, you can take shelter in the horses' shed! I also welcome your horses if you come with them, and can accommodate them in a paddock or loose box, as well as in the on-site riding arena and numerous paths for horseback riding, cycling and walking.
The rivers are just a few minutes away for fishing and kayaking.

The setting

Green setting, meadow and forest. Next to Le Chambon, an activity center, you can go canoeing, kayaking, accrobranche (tree climbing), take advantage of a new free indoor pumptrack for skateboarding, biking and rollerblading, and enjoy the many marked trails starting from the house. No noisy passageways, just the rooster crowing! Vegetation between forest and greenery.

The spots

You can set up on different parts of the land, as you wish, while respecting the surroundings, as this is the land that feeds my horses! There's shade and sun for those who want it, and shelter in my sheds if you need it. Electricity and drinking water.

The sanitary facilities

washing machine and tumble dryer. There are also dry toilets if required. There are also cold but drinkable water points everywhere.

The amenities

Ask what you need and we'll try to make it happen!
A fridge and freezer are available.
If you need internet, we'll give you the house wifi code.
If you need a barbecue, we have a gas one. We can lend you a kettle or other kitchen equipment on request.

The activities

Possible to take care of horses and other farm animals, especially for children and big kids who want to enjoy nature!!!! I can rent kayaks. Lots of nature activities in the area. Courses are organized or family/child/adult sessions of equitherapy, equi-motricity, animal mediation, discovery of life on the farm.
Large sand pit for football/beachvolley/archery activities!
This summer, in July and August, we're offering a mini farmer-groomer course, see photos.

Other things

Stores less than 3 min. away Pizza day at the village bakery on Wednesdays! Restaurant in Le Chambon, 3 minutes away, or in Montbron, also 3 minutes away. Visit various châteaux in the area, including the magnificent one at La Rochefoucauld. Nature base at the St Estèphe lake with sandy beach. Same for Angoulême.

Rules

If you are a smoker, please respect the area, which has plenty of straw and hay. No big parties as the neighbors are nice but like peace and quiet like us and our animals!
Arrival and departure times to be defined between us - arrival before 7pm for greater convenience.

fresh eggs from my hens, canes or geese, jams, honey from my neighbor, village bread for breakfast...
