Description

We own an edible garden with a carport that doubles as an extra living space. You are welcome to call this your home during your stay

The setting

Although we live close to the center of Sassenheim with shops and bars, it is very quiet in our garden

The spots

We have a carport that doubles as shelter. We can make two beds from camping beds, but you can sleep on your own (air)matress as well

The sanitary facilities

We have water and electricity access in the garden. Toilet, shower, washing machine and kitchen in the house. We can however install a portable electric cooking plate, so you can cook a tiny meal inside.

The amenities

Internet is open access.
You can use the kitchen if you would like to (no micro-wave available), we have: oven, kettle, pots and pans and some basic ingredients
You can use the electricity in the carport

The activities

We are at the centre of the bulb region and we live close to the beach (15 min drive)

Other things

You could also just visit neighbouring towns or Sassenheim
Supermarket: Albert Heijn (~300 m)

Rules

Please no loud noise between 22 (10 pm) and 6 (am).
No access to the house between 21 (9 pm) and 7 (am)

  • Very welcoming family, the place to sleep in a small added depensance was very comfortable, a great evening. Very good reactivity in spite of the late reservation (the same day).
    We even got advice for our road trip.

  • It was nice to stay with Annechien and Stefan during their 3-day training in Haarlem. Nice garden and cottage as short stay. If people with dogs pass by while you sleep, 'cottage' adjacent to the street and gardens, it seems like they are inside, that took some getting used to, earplugs recommended if you are sensitive to this ;-). I'd go back :-)

The covered space is very nice and practical; we are not far from the sea by car, next to the city center of Sassenheim and not far from the train station that takes to Amsterdam.
