Excellent-
Good evening,
Pleasant stay in a quiet campsite.
Spacious pitch and cycle paths for safe riding.
The owners are very friendly, helpful and give good advice.
Feriolo is a small town but there's Baveno not far away with the departure point for boats to visit the 3 islands.
We recommend it! -
Very pleasant stay! Very warm welcome!
We were able to enjoy a lovely shady pitch.
The lake is a 20-minute walk away via a small forest path.
The pool is great for cooling off. The sanitary facilities are clean.
Noise from the freeway is less of a problem at night.
Very good experience, we recommend! -
Campsite located close to the freeway and a railroad track.... even this is not too annoying, the setting not far from the lake that I had in mind took quite a blow.
I would have liked to have been able to chat (to get information on local activities) with the French-speaking manager, but unfortunately she wasn't very available (3 attempts), a bit of a handful as they say.
Swimming pool with compulsory cap. -
Welcoming. Low maintenance.
-
Quiet family campsite away from the August tourist hustle and bustle, friendly managers, refreshing little pool with bar.
Please note: 10€ more expensive if you book via the website rather than directly! -
It's actually a real 2-star campsite.
sanitary facilities not very clean
swimming pool a bit "rustic" with bathing cap compulsory
Not far from the lake
Not very far from the freeway and train, but no more noisy than that -
This is not a home stay but a campsite (good to know).
However, the welcome is +++, with a swimming pool that children love, and a cap that is compulsory but kindly lent by the campsite.
Small and pleasant for one night :)
Electricity ✅ but you have to pay extra when you arrive ( 3e à peu près ..) but it's more than enough for one night! -
Super little family campsite 15 mns walk from Lake Maggiore ... spacious but sunny pitch.
The owners are friendly and attentive ... you can order breakfast and also pizzas, fries, etc ... very practical after a long day on the road.
The only problem is the sanitary facilities...
Very clean, very functional, but far too few ... 2 women's showers, 2 men's showers ...given the campsite's capacity, it can take a long time to take a shower! The same goes for the washing-up bins, 4 for the whole campsite!
All the same, we spent 2 pleasant evenings in the peace and quiet, with a magnificent view of the mountains.
Considering the region, it's good value for money! -
First thing to know: this is not a home campsite, but a real campsite. If you're looking for a small structure with few or no people, contact with the receptionist, etc., go the other way!
If you're looking for a reasonably sized campsite, why not? The reception is correct, the sanitary facilities always very clean but a little inadequate when it's busy, which happens quickly. Some pitches are well shaded and pleasant, but quickly become too crowded.
As for the gentle sounds of nature... If you can ignore the road, the freeway (the campsite is literally underneath it), the train and the quarry, then yes, you'll be able to enjoy the rabbits that can be seen running at the back of the campsite.
The shallow swimming pool is very pleasant (bring your bathing cap).
In short, it all depends on what you're looking for... -
Very warm welcome, pleasant grounds where you can set up wherever you like on a lawn. Very good sanitary facilities. A good location for visiting the Borromean Islands.
Maria and her husband are very friendly. -
Campsite close to the lake. We appreciated the environment and the peace and quiet. Bring mosquito repellent in summer.
-
Slightly outdated 2* campsite. Beautiful location in the middle of the mountains. We were told beforehand that bicycles would be available. We had planned our activities and trips accordingly. So we had to take buses and cabs to reach Baveno or Stresa (very expensive). Rather warm welcome, but for more than 140€ for 4 people for 2 nights, it's not very commercial to ask 3€ more for electricity. 1km from the village of Feriolo (very pretty) on a road that's very convenient for pedestrians.
-
Maria is very kind and gave us a warm welcome. Everything is still done the old-fashioned way, with no complications. The grounds are huge and we had plenty of room, much to the delight of the children, who were able to watch the rabbits run free. We recommend it!
-
Great place, quiet, clean and lovely hosts, I recommend without hesitation!
-
The campsite is big, clean and comfortable!
We were lucky enough to be the only ones in a tent and to choose our pitch :) -
This is an ordinary campground, not a real homecamper site. The tenting lawn is rather nice, but there are wracks of old camper trailers, metal tubes and compost at the fence of the property. Washing rooms are not protected from views of bypassers. No light at night on the tenting lawn and worse inside the bathrooms! We had to take a torch to the toilet. The campground is rather loud from highway and railway tracks. We wanted to leave early but the campground host arrived at the campground at 9.15 in the morning. We had to leave our passports at the reception and at to wait for their arrival.

We had a very pleasant stay, welcoming, I recommend.
-
Superb place very close to the major lake. The setting is superb !
-
Average experience. Indeed it is a real camping.
Beyond that, the owners were not very pleasant for us, explaining us with difficulty the site without wanting to go 50m to show it to us.
Sanitary facilities not very clean -
Very nice stay at Maria's camping. It has everything we need. Clean and beautiful view on the mountains. Also very practical because close to Stresa for borromees' islands visit.
-
17,20€ per night,
1€ per day for the wifi
0,60€ per day tourist tax.
All this spoils the stay a bit.
I already explained myself on the phone with homecamper and I left the application.
I am not a sheep.

We were expecting a camping at the inhabitant's but it is a real camping, however very pleasant with a very appreciated swimming pool! Noise of the viaduct, the road and the train, but that did not bother us at night.
-
Great stay, lovely people and small campground surrounded by greenery. I really recommend this campground for a nice stopover on lake major.
-
Warm atmosphere! Thank you for the welcome, the availability .... we appreciated the extent of your land, the sympathy that reigns with you! I recommend
Caroline and Co -
This isn't at someones garden, but a real camping.
When we first came there, they didn't know about homecamper, but we could place our tent allready.
Lateron, the person ho leads everything was there and then everyting was ok.
Its a silent camping, with a lot of space, not to crowdy, and no luxury (what we also didn't expect).
What we loved the most about the campsite was the food:
it didn't cost a lot, and wasn't very fancy, but it tasted like heaven!
You really can taste the love of the nona who still makes it!
It's a real family business here, with very lovely people!
Thank you Maria Pia!
We enjoyed it! -
Great welcome, the pool is very nice and the sanitary facilities very clean. Very good value for money, we slightly heard the highway but it is quite bearable. The pitches are very large.
Thanks to the people of the campsite who were very helpful and accommodating. -
Excellent value for money, location with lots of freedom and space, a good spot!
-
Exceptional campsite, surrounded by mountains. The staff is very friendly. I recommend it.
-
Maria welcomed us in her small family campsite just a few steps from Lake Maggiore.
We thank her for everything. -
Very nice maria and very clean. They are very accommodating and have a smile. Our car was in the shade. No nuisance for us at night.
-
We had a great time at Maria Pias place. It was not so far from the beach (with bike) and Maria Pia was very kind!
-
For the good side : family campsite with plenty of space. Very safe and good spirit, well maintained swimming pool and proximity of the lake. For the negative point, we did not like the proximity of the freeway and the railway, it is annoying to have always this noise of background.
-
Thank you for your warm welcome!
-
impeccable
good value for money near the lake
Certainly the setting is not extraordinary but the
competition at 120 euros by the lake crammed like sardines with useless infrastructures when you come by a lake and mountains
For 30 euros we have more than enough for the price
Go to the hotel if you are not satisfied -
When we booked on Homecamper, we were surprised to find ourselves in a campsite **!
Of course the pitches are spacious but they are located almost under the freeway viaduct and next to the railroad. At no time did we find silence and we came back exhausted from being woken up by the traffic.
As far as the maintenance of the campsite, the swimming pool and the reception are concerned, we were not satisfied.
In short, if you are looking for the calm and the charm of a home stay, go the other way... -
Plenty of room in the campsite
Stuck below the freeway viaduct, the railroads and a busy road, the background noise is permanent
The garbage garbage cans are overflowing and the sanitary facilities and showers are cleaned from time to time
We spread out at half of our stay pays completely! -
It was great
