Description

Secure, shaded area under cedars, located in Avignon's green belt in an agricultural environment.
Just 12 minutes from the tramway, which takes you ten minutes to Avignon city center.
The space borders the vegetable garden. The henhouse is set apart (no rooster!).
Possibility of sampling seasonal fruit and/or vegetables from the kitchen garden.

The setting

Permanent shade near a small bamboo grove, in a quiet location.

The spots

I limit parking (on flat ground) to four vehicles, so my guests can enjoy their stay in complete peace of mind. The site is about 70m from my house. So far, all non-oversized motorhomes have been able to park without difficulty.

The sanitary facilities

The pitch is equipped with a sanitary block (shower with hot water, toilet, large washbasin).

The amenities

Wifi is available.
Each pitch has a water and electricity point.
On occasion, I can lend kitchen equipment (including a barbecue, which must be used in a secure area because of the fire hazard). I can help out with basic products (salt, sugar, butter, bread...) and take shopping orders while my guests are on holiday.

The activities

Visits to Avignon, the cultural capital of the Côtes du Rhône, with its rich historical past, the Vaucluse, Gard and Bouches du Rhône regions, will be facilitated by the provision of documentation.
In 2024, the Festival d'Avignon, a world-class theater festival, will take place from 06/29 to 07/21 for the IN and from 07/3 to 07/21 for the OFF.

Other things

Extreme vigilance is required on the part of guests regarding the risk of fires, which are becoming increasingly frequent in the region due to the drought.

Rules

No smoking area.
No fires allowed.
Small pets allowed.
Quiet after 11pm.
Once you've settled in, you can come and go at any time of the day or night, while respecting the peace and quiet of any neighbors. A remote control for the gate can be obtained for a deposit of 30€.
Selective sorting of garbage will be encouraged by the provision of three separate garbage cans and a composter.

  • Jean-Claude is very attentive and welcoming.
In a remarkably green and quiet area, so close to the city, the pitches are really very pleasant.
pleasant to live in. They're all shaded by cypress trees, with electricity and a clean, functional sanitary block right next door.
It's a truly exceptional place to discover the city and its surroundings, set in the midst of nature; it's a bit magical.
As you can see, I enthusiastically recommend it.

  • We have been received despite quite late arrival around 9 pm very friendly by Jean-Claude and have spent a quiet night under trees. The sanitary facilities are functional, clean unwohl still quite new. On our return trip, we will make another stop here, this spot is to be recommended without reservation.

  • Thank you Jean Claude for the warm welcome, the cleanliness and serenity of the place, the inspiring and enriching exchange! How fortunate to find you right here. We hope to see you again next year! Louise and Gilles

  • Excellent first experience! I'd recommend this very quiet place, yet very close to the city. Very friendly welcome with brochures for sightseeing and very good advice. Completely shaded and cool place, shower and toilet, thanks for the welcome and the tasting of figs directly from the trees! Best regards and looking forward to coming back!

  • What a wonderful time we had at Jean-Claude's house. It was a real encounter for us, and the location is perfect for cycling to the center of Avignon, in a quiet, cool haven. We can't wait to spend a few more days with this exceptionally kind host.

  • Great experience on Jean-Claude's site during the Avignon Festival. The site is ideally located, quiet and shaded, just ten minutes from the streetcar. By bike it's even more convenient (15mins from the center). Jean-Claude is very friendly and accommodating, and I recommend him.

  • Great experience at Jean Claude's, very considerate. The grounds are very well laid out.
Access to the city on foot (15 min walk to the streetcar) possible, we could not take them but with the bikes it would have been faster :) good continuation and maybe see you soon!

  • Jean-Claude was a very friendly and easy host, which we appreciated enormously. On arrival we also got super tasty figs.

The pitch is quiet, very shady and well located. The sanitary facilities are simple but clean and were perfectly adequate for us (two women). We also felt safe at all times.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the nearest streetcar, which quickly takes you to the center of Avignon.
Thank you for the pleasant time with you.

  • Very good reception, good information.
    Thanks

  • The place is really secure... I really appreciated Jean Claude's welcome, to guide me in and out... The welcome refreshment was also very appreciated... And it's quiet... Thank you...

  • Very good reception Jean-Claude is a nice person, quiet and shady location.

  • We thank Jean-Claude infinitely for his kindness, his advice to visit Avignon and the surroundings, his availability and also for his nice welcome accompanied by a drink and his delicious figs ♥️ The place to park is perfect, with our camping car we were in the shade from morning to evening and that's rather very appreciable. You can go there with your eyes closed, we recommend +++

  • Good communication with Jean Claude who advised us about shows and reserved a welcome drink.
Jean Claude's pitches are well located, 15 minutes by bike from the center of Avignon. Water jet very practical. The only drawback : a lot of mosquitoes, probably due to the hot weather!

  • Excellent welcome. Fresh drink appreciated on arrival! Quiet in the green zone of Avignon after a day at the festival. I hope Jean-Claude will save a place for me next year!
