Description

We welcome you on a beautiful wooded land of 5000 square meters, on which we practice agroecology and permaculture.
The place, located in the countryside, is less than 10 minutes by car from the Salagou lake, and less than 10 minutes from all the shops (city of Lodève). Three times a week (Monday evening, Thursday evening and Friday evening) there is the possibility to buy organic bread cooked on a wood fire from the neighbors.

The setting

Quiet land with wooded and open areas, a large vegetable garden and many fruit trees. Wild animals like to frequent the place: hoopoe, nightingales, orioles, occelated lizards and various reptiles, numerous amphibians (frogs, toads, tree frogs, salamanders), deer...
We have a henhouse with about ten hens and three roosters who crow early in the morning from their aviary on the top of the field; we release them, in total freedom on the field, only when everyone is awake ;))

The spots

A large tent site, isolated behind a large bamboo grove and totally shaded, is located in the immediate vicinity of independent sanitary facilities and a table and chairs.
Other pitches for tents or vans/camper vans can be found here and there on the site.

The sanitary facilities

Possible access to a bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Hot water.

The amenities

Gas stove available on request.
Electricity on external plugs. Possibility of extension cord.
We put at your disposal the big stone barbecue of the house. Independent clotheslines.

The activities

Hérault does not lack resources to diversify these activities. We are 10 minutes from the Salagou lake, 20 minutes from Larzac, 30 minutes from the Caroux massif or the Hérault gorges, 40 minutes from the sea. Thus the choice will be able to be made according to the desires ; ))

Other things

The Salagou lake is one of the most popular lakes in France for hiking, mountain biking, water sports and fishing. We know the area very well and can give you information about the places and activities to do. Nearby is Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the Hérault gorges, the Navacelles cirque, the Mourèze cirque, and many other villages or very atypical places.

Rules

From 10:30 pm please respect the peace and quiet of the place (young children).

Barbecues only allowed on the big barbecue of our house.

Situation
  • Small, pleasant family, very welcoming, respectful of our privacy and did everything possible to ensure that our stay went very well. We have no problem recommending Maud and her family.

  • Maud and Olivier are great people.we were very well received.they were very attentive and gave us lots of advice for our hikes.I loved the little path in the bamboo to take my shower.

  • We only stayed one night, but the family was very charming and we found a nice spot for our tent in the bamboo forest.

  • A very warm welcome and a great location surrounded by bamboo.
The roosters were very prolific but that's the law of nature ????
We'll be back if we get the chance.

  • Very welcoming hosts who take great care of our guests. A spacious pitch in the bamboo grove, with a separate shed for shower and toilet facilities. The location is secluded. And the roosters are crowing!

  • The hosts are very attentive! The grounds are nice and close to Lodève and the Salagou!

  • Very good stay with Maud and her family. They are very welcoming and generous. A really nice place to pitch your tent, under the bamboo, and really quiet.

  • An excellent spot to take a break from the hectic pace of everyday life. Maud and Oliver are attentive hosts who combine heart with ecological awareness. Access to the site is a little difficult for large motorhomes over 6.50 meters. The campsite is highly recommended for anyone who loves nature, sustainable living and free-range chickens.

  • Welcomed by a wonderful family in a natural, peaceful setting. Perfect to recharge your batteries. Thank you so much!

  • Great welcome, thanks Maud. Slept very well ????

  • Maud is a very nice host who made a lot of effort to welcome us.
The eggs from her chickens are very good!

  • Excellent reception of the adults and the children. Great facilities (bamboo grove, children's games, chickens,...). Super location.
    Thanks to you 4.

  • Great stay, thanks to Maud and her companion. The setting is very pleasant, and our hosts very friendly. Go there with your eyes closed.

  • A very good time spent in a beautiful place with a lovely family. They took care of my comfort. I recommend you +++.
    See you soon...

  • The time was far too short with Aude and Olivier. Impossible to put less than 5 stars everywhere!

  • Lovely, quiet and intimate location. A very welcoming and attentive couple. The private toilets next to the site are a real plus! We recommend to spend the night at Maud and Olivier's place.

  • Maud and her family welcome us in their little corner of paradise. They are close and warm, while leaving us a beautiful space in the shade, behind the bamboo grove. We were really very well there!

  • Very beautiful place with a nice bathroom and great to be with Maud and Olivier.

  • Sympathetic reception, the place is in the shade of the bamboos in the peace, the perfect sanitary.
    We recommend.

  • The holy grail for campers. Never seen such a wonderful place to camp in southern France before. We camped in the middle of a small place under trees and bambus. But directly to this wilderness is a small wooden building with the bathroom were we could shower like home.
The host-family was very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for sharing such a place with other people like us!
