Description

MINIMUM 3-NIGHT RENTAL
My campsite and gîtes are registered with the Pontenx les Forges town hall and are partners of the Mimizan OIT tourist office.

Come and recharge your batteries 20 minutes from the ocean, with direct access to the cycle path, just a few minutes on foot or by bike from all amenities, against the forest, with all the comforts for 4 people, on private, fenced grounds accessible by code gate.

The only bungalow on a fully fenced-in 5000 m2 plot, in a homestay campsite for up to 20 people, it has its own private space in an area of the grounds entirely dedicated to it.
Electricity is available, and water is available outside the (email hidden)Some facilities, such as washing-up facilities and showers, are shared with other campers.

The campsite is closed to pets and children over 9 years of age, to ensure peace and quiet.

The setting

Set in a beautiful Landes airial, the bungalow is in a quiet spot against the forest, in the shade most of the day.
There are a few chickens and squirrels in the grounds, as there are many hazelnut trees.
Pontenx les Forges is a charming village with all amenities, and a beautiful forest path leads directly from the plot to the village or to the sports center and cycle path, a 10-minute walk away.
I'd be happy to advise you if you're new to the area, whether in terms of beaches, culture, restaurants...

The spots

The bungalow can be locked with the padlock provided.
It comprises 4 sections:
two bedrooms: master bedroom (1 recent 160x200 bed) with storage and closet
Bedroom 2: two single beds with very comfortable bedding, storage space and closet.
A kitchen equipped with all cooking equipment (pots and pans, gas stove and fridge), coffee maker and kettle.
A living room with sofa, storage space and coffee table.
A 10 m2 covered awning with outdoor light and garden furniture.

The sanitary facilities

The dry toilets are private (not shared with other campers) and very clean.
The campsite is equipped with dry urinals for gentlemen, and the canvas bungalow occupants can use them (I'm in charge of the urinals).

There are 3 showers, shared with the other guests. Hot water is at your disposal; you help yourself to the jerry cans I provide and fill a tray in the shower. You shower using this water.

Quiet, 24-hour access to sanitary facilities and property.

The amenities

The bungalow has light and plugs.
Storage shed, washing line, some children's games, barbecue (except during heatwaves).
All crockery and cutlery provided.

The activities

20 minutes by car or 1 hour by bike: Mimizan beach for surfing and bodyboarding.
40 minutes by car from the Marquèze ecomuseum and the Pyla dune.
halfway between Bordeaux and Biarritz.
1h15 from the Spanish border.
Theaters and cinemas in Mimizan and Biscarrosse.
Children's playground 10 minutes' walk through the forest.

Other things

Please contact me for stays longer than 6 nights.
A real return to basics for quiet or hard-working individuals or families, while enjoying real comfort.

Rules

Pets are not allowed. Even small, friendly ones...
You manage your own toilets, but rest assured, they're absolutely odorless and quick and easy to clean.
Untreated wood shavings are at your disposal.
Please bring unscented, colorless toilet paper and environmentally friendly washing-up liquid.

Electricity is limited to light, music and recharging laptops or computers.
However, it is not possible to use hair dryers or irons, as they consume too much energy.

No vehicles are parked near the tents or the bungalow (glamping), but they are parked at the entrance to the property.
Respect for campers and the site is the basic rule.
Arrival times (on day 1, for reception: generally between 5pm (depending on your needs and my availability) and 8pm at the latest).
Departure time: 10am - you are responsible for cleaning but I supply the cleaning products.
Late arrivals are not possible.
Two deposit cheques are required on arrival (for cleaning and damage) and will be returned one week after the end of your stay.
Smokers are allowed, with precautions of course.

For all booking requests, please provide details of the number of people and the age of any children.
