Description

Camping in a huge property in the nature, near rivers. Near Forcalquier.

The setting

At the inhabitant. In a very large garden with trees. No visual or noise pollution. Close to rivers. In Dauphin, a typical Provencal village. 10 minutes drive from Forcalquier, a charming little town with its markets, cafés, cinema and concert hall. At 1h from the top of the Lure mountain/

The spots

The land is flat and directly accessible. There is shade.
There is a cabin on the site which is entirely at the disposal of the campers (and to be shared between the campers). There is a washbasin, an equipped kitchen and electrical outlets.

The sanitary facilities

The toilets consist of a dry toilet. Campers are responsible for emptying the bucket into the dedicated area when it is full.

Showers are solar showers. It is up to the campers to fill the water bags and put them in the sun. The shower "cabins" are quite rustic: they are made of fabric spread out to create a somewhat isolated space.

The amenities

In the kitchen, campers have an oven, gas plates and the necessary dishes.
Electricity is in the cabin. You are free to bring an extension cord.
It is possible to leave your cell phone to be charged in the cabin.

The activities

The immediate surroundings are ideal for discovering the fauna and flora, for exploring the village of Dauphin, for walking, for cycling, for cooling off in the rivers and for lazing around.
If you take the car (or the bike), there are many possible activities in the surroundings : look at the website of the tourist office of Forcalquier or that of Mane.

Other things

Two female dogs live in the house. They will certainly come to see you. Both are very friendly (even if one barks) and are absolutely not dangerous.

Rules

- Respect for other campers and their needs
- Respect of the place : sorting of the garbage, no waste or cigarette butts thrown in the garden, ...
- Be autonomous in terms of consumables (toilet paper for example)
- Empty the dry toilet bucket when it is full
- Fill the water bags for the solar showers and put them in the sun so that the next person can have hot water

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€5 / person)

Coffee/tea, bread, butter, jam, eggs from the garden chickens

The breakfast option is not systematic; it will depend on the availability of the inhabitants of the house. It is possible to ask in advance to know if it will be possible or not.

  • Pamela is a very nice and welcoming person! The place is quite large, equipped with a small kitchen and a dry toilet. A peaceful place where you can stop for a little moment of calm.

  • We spent a great stay at Pamela's who is a great kindness the place is superb for camping you can go there with your eyes closed

  • Very well, thank you Pamela.

  • Nice weekend on Pamela's piece of land, shaded for the tent and all the necessities for the kitchen, the toilet and the poop.

    Thanks Pamela

  • As a cyclist on the Mediterranean cycle route, you couldn't ask for anything better: it's right next to the cycle path, the land is vast, shady and flat, the setting is beautiful and quiet and Pamela's welcome is very friendly. I bathed like the dogs on the picture in the nearby river. The small kitchen is very practical to cook on the spot. I forgot the sky full of stars.
