Description

We offer our Saharan tent for two people and possibly two young children.
The tent has a real 140x 190 cm bed with a comfortable mattress on a box spring and two 60cmx 185 cm cots.
We have a summer kitchen with all the necessary equipment available for our guests, but this may be shared with guests renting our rooms.
Dry toilets are available on site, as well as a solar-powered shower and water point (available early July).

The setting

Our tent is decorated in a slightly exotic atmosphere to invite you to travel...
In our orchard, in the middle of our pretty wooded grounds.
Our property is 20 minutes from the sea and all the D-Day landing sites.
We live in our house nearby.
Visitors enjoy the peace and quiet of the area, with the added benefit of a spacious, comfortable tent.
We can add a Canadian tent for children or to store luggage.

The spots

Bed linen and towels are provided.
A small sitting area is set up in the tent, with a table and chairs outside. It is also possible to eat inside.
However, this space can be shared with other visitors, if you make arrangements in advance.
It usually works out very well!
We also offer the possibility of ordering meals or breakfasts.

The sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are currently being installed and will provide our visitors with dry toilets, a heated outdoor shower and a water point with sink (water not running).
We also have a running water point with an outside tap in the orchard for filling a jerry can.

The amenities

In the tent we have lamps that can be recharged with a USB plug (electricity in the summer kitchen) and have a long autonomy.
In the kitchen there's a small fridge, a 4-burner gas hob, a mini-oven, kettle, toaster, mixer, coffee maker and all the crockery you need.
There's even a small fireplace if the weather's gloomy!

The activities

Sea and D-Day beaches 20 minutes away, various museums.
We are 1 hour from the Pointe de la Hague in the Cotentin region and its magnificent sites (the east and west sides of the Cotentin are different and just as pretty), 1.5 hours from Mont St Michel, 45 minutes from Caen and 15 minutes from the Balleroy forest.

Other things

We lend two adult bicycles and possibly two small children's bicycles free of charge, as well as a small cane stroller and various children's games. There is a swing and a monkey bridge in the grounds. We have chickens, a cat and two dwarf goats.

Rules

No smoking on the property. No pets allowed. Take your shoes off in the tent and remember to tidy up the summer kitchen, which may be shared with other visitors. The entire property is accessible, while respecting our own privacy.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€10 / person)

All organic! Homemade sourdough bread and jams. Butter, peanut butter, plus garden fruit compote or fresh fruit salad, or rice pudding, always organic and homemade, or a boiled egg, or homemade brioche, depending on the day.
