Situation
  • Bernard is a welcoming, responsive and accommodating host. He welcomed us for a short overnight stop.
His property is as described and photographed. The biggest plus point is the price, generally below the local market.
On the other hand, the two negative points are the noise pollution (busy road, pedestrians talking loudly without any disturbance until 3am and from 7am, funfair, nearby nightclub, nearby high-speed train line) and the density of occupation of the plot (we were present at the same time as several families, whereas there is only one sanitary point - 1 shower, 1WC, 1 sink - and not that much space). The aforementioned nuisances are offset by the advantage of being so close to many places to live and party. Recommended only for a short stopover, if you can't do otherwise, if you're a night owl or perhaps out of season, when there are fewer people and less hustle and bustle.

  • Bernard is a very friendly host and everything fit.
However, you have to like the noise of the amusement park until late at night

  • The welcome was very basic, the advert stated "Animals accepted", but the host was very annoyed when he saw our dogs and asked us to tie them up all the time, although we had taken this rental on purpose to enjoy it with our dogs.
Bernard gave us the equivalent of a parking space (for 3 people) for a mini-van and a tent, and got "even more annoyed" when we took a little more space. Even though we didn't take anyone's space according to the reservations.
He tolerates people who talk loudly, play loud music (all day) and smoke cannabis - not exactly what we expected from our stay.
The advert states "enclosed grounds", but the gate is open H24 for everyone to see.
And as far as housekeeping is concerned, it's just non-existent, to the point that one of the guests was caught cleaning the bathroom because he was so annoyed by the dirt.
No more than one toilet and one shower for 20 people, very limited.
All the people present during our stay complained about the living conditions on this site (yes, all of them).
We don't recommend this place - you'll find much better elsewhere.

And this allows me to make a comment bordering on mythomania. We didn't come with 2 big dogs, but one and one medium-sized. And no, we didn't pay 25€ a night as you say, but more than 43€. And I haven't mentioned your fridge, but if you want I can go there. We took our own and didn't touch the fridge, which was full of mouldy products and didn't even have room.
It's important to know that criticism is constructive and to be able to admit mistakes. A bon entendeur.

  • Shady site, tent pitched in the sand, sardines have no trouble getting in, it's a nice change from the hard-packed ground caused by camper vans in campsites. Well placed, close to shops and the beach. The kitchen area could do with a little more space (sink not easily accessible behind the fridge). Practical, clean and pleasant sanitary facilities.

  • Apart from the impression of being a nuisance, I had no positive impression of this place except for the location.
The pitch for the tents is on very dirty sand, and the tables provided are broken and dirty. Not to mention the electrical installation, in front of which you'll have to say a prayer before plugging anything in. You'll also have to count on the luck of having nice tent neighbors. I've had to deal with the woman who doesn't like people, the couple smoking joints at 8 a.m. and the family drinking beer at 8 a.m. too.
The sanitary facilities are poorly designed and impractical. The owner doesn't seem to give a damn about his customers as long as the money comes in. To be avoided

  • Very good, I recommend.
    Very friendly setting.

  • We spent a really good time here. It is a great location 10min. walk from the sea. Bernard was very welcoming,he showed us around and we felt good. Garden is beautiful, plenty of space for tents. Only weak point was a small cooking area and there is no light in the shower.

  • Good welcome, good location during the day as it's very close to the coast and shopping activities. However, I wouldn't recommend this location for the night, as it's impossible to fall asleep awake when there's a night amusement park and a discotheque whose noise pollution is extremely disturbing if you want to rest. This stopover is to be avoided at all costs for an overnight stopover while touring (hikers, cyclists). Sorry for this harsh comment, but it perfectly reflects my stay of a few hours.

  • Shady, very functional, well-located and well-equipped site (shower, toilet, water point, fridge and hob!) The only downside is the proximity of the road and, depending on the wind, the noise of the funfair, but that's the charm of the campsite!

  • Bernard is very welcoming, the ground under the pines was very comfortable for camping in a tent!

  • Never been there. No communication at all after we try to change the dates.

  • Right next to the canal and the beach, perfect for our stay!

  • Hello, great stop with Bernard who welcomed us very well, the place is just great...the sea at 2 steps...
    Go there without hesitation...

  • Pleasant place near the sea ... In this period of February we would have appreciated the shower a little hotter ... which is well suited for the summer ... Owner discreet ...

  • We had made a request at short notice from the road and were pleased that Bernard responded very quickly. We were welcomed nicely and found everything clean and practical. Perfect for our overnight stay on the way from Spain to Germany.

  • Visit the area for a relaxing weekend

  • We had an excellent stay. The place is clean, well located and close to everything. We will be back with pleasure. Thank you Bernard for your hospitality.

  • A very nice garden 5 minutes away from the beach. It's a wonderful region. If you want to get away from people and have relaxing nights this might not be the place for you, but if you know what awaits you in this touristy region its a wonderful spot.

  • Very touristy, more professional than inhabitant but meets your needs noisy road

  • Very good stay in Marseillan plage.

Lively neighborhood nearby, ideal for enjoying the evening.
A little noisy but let's not forget that we are in the middle of the sea in a tourist seaside resort.

The ground is shaded, perfect in summer.

We had a good contact with Bernard.

  • Very disappointed... welcome without comment...
Toilet blocked from the second day to our departure... no light in the sanitary...
In any case we had a good vacation apart from that... and we met a lovely couple at the end of our stay. Thanks anyway

  • Good location with proximity to the sea and amusement park. In the middle of August, there were enough places. I stayed only one night and I did not suffer any nuisance because I am not an early sleeper. Yes there is the road next to it but for my part not especially annoying. We are in the middle of a big seaside resort so if you want the big calm, you have to go to the countryside. Frankly, it was a good experience. Just a small detail that I would have improved, a little light at the level of the toilets since the electricity is near. Thank you.

  • Hello Bernard is very welcoming the sanitary facilities are good we can go to the beach easily on foot

  • Great stop at Bernard's place, location in the shade, the beach is 10 minutes away, perfect for the geographical situation, Bernard is very nice, we will come back.

  • Welcomed by Bernard, shaded ground near shops and beaches! Shower and toilets regularly maintained, we had the essentials to camp in tents and enjoy the setting, thank you!

  • Marseillan is a very popular destination. If you go to Bernard's off-season, you won't be disappointed as we are, but in high season, Bernard's garden is like the city: too many people in a small space. We found that the service was expensive compared to the service, but there too, it is the image of what is practiced in this tourist city. The positive sides : shaded ground and sanitary facilities always clean in spite of the important number of users.

  • Emplacement très agréable et très bien situé, magnifique !
Bernard est une personne très sympathique et arrangeante.
Un vrai petit paradis de quiétude !

  • If you like privacy and calm, run away.
Here you will find a promiscuity with a tangle of caravans, campers, tents and bungalows in a reduced space that does not correspond at all to what is proposed on the ad. Every free space is optimized. It is more like a car park.
The reception is limited to giving his name, the number of nights booked and the site on which the reservation was made.
This is the only contact I had with the host. One feels expected...
I confirm the noise nuisance amusement park, nightclub of the campsite nearby, railroad and busy road.
The sanitary block is insufficient for more than twenty campers and the sink is also used as a sink... not to be used at night because there is no light.
We shortened our stay without refund.
It would be interesting to have the layout of the grounds as well as the planned layout for the campers before booking, this would avoid disappointment and financial loss.
In my opinion, it is more a question of profitability than conviviality.
Only positive point, the sea at 5 minutes.

  • Nice, similar to a clean mini camping and close to the sea as well as the amusement park. Beware it's a bit noisy.

  • We needed to make a stopover and this met our need... Clean sanitary... Not far from the sea... Small site under the tree found despite our late arrival

  • Nice place but a nightclub nearby kept us awake most of the night but it's not Bernard's fault.

  • Welcomed by Bernard without the conviviality and the welcome that we are used to find at homecamper. The announced ground is more than revised with the fall we were about fifteen for 1 toilet and 1 shower. Due to lack of space we had to park in front of them so it's clearly not the best in the world, but not the worst either when you know that the beach is 5mn away by foot.
Note that at 5:30 am there was still the noise of the surrounding campsites and fairs.....

  • Well shaded site and not far from the beach. On the other hand, there were too many of us on the site and the promiscuity with the other campers can be annoying (6 tents and 15 people for 1 toilet and 1 shower). Provide anti-mosquito product and earplugs (road, amusement park ...). Disappointing experience.

  • Good location for beach and tourism.
    Nice relaxed host
    MANY mosquitos (at daytime, too)
Loud music from neighboring campground at night.

  • Bernard answered us right away and welcomed us kindly. He answered all our questions. The toilets and shower are nice and clean. The sink for washing dishes is great. We were able to walk to the beach very easily. Thank you Bernard!
