Description

Thriving Natural-oasis of Peace, close to great beaches, mountains and the city of Gaudi. Good amenities, helpful and polyglot host welcome you!

The setting

In our garden between 2 villages, you will live the magic of being in the middle of olive groves but in a unique oasis of great plant diversity with large pines, holm oaks, fig trees, and therefore a great variety of birds and birdsong.
You will enjoy natural silence (with the occasional sound of neighbours dogs bark and train passing 4-5 times a day), shade, hammocks, being able to grill your own food on a barbecue and with caution campfire at night to have fun. You have access to an individual equipped kitchen, a dry-toilet / outdoor cold shower and the property has an enclosed area to park bicycles, car, van or small caravan safely.

The spots

The property has a shaded camping area, specifically for small tents and where there is a safari tent / Belltent for rent (see separate announcement). It also has a flat area with semi-shade where there is space for 3 places to park campered vans, or 2 cars with trailer caravans of max height 2.5m x 5.0m long

The sanitary facilities

2 dry-toilets and an outdoor shower available for visitors, during the summer the shower water is usually warm at noon because the water tubes are heated when exposed to the sun.

The amenities

Basic kitchen equipment, stove, fridge, pots, coffee maker, plates and glasses.
Washing machine and electricity service for € 3 / day.
We have at our disposal garden table and chairs to eat outside.
Wifi internet in certain areas of the garden.

The activities

There is a lake at 4km, kayak -bike rental, mountain roads and the sea at 8km, nudist beaches, dog beaches at 15km, cycling circuits throughout the region, climbing circuits at 30-35km (Siurana), Port Aventura amusement park at 22km.

Other things

We have pets on the property: 2 cats.
We welcome all kind of pets as long they are well behaved, the owner pick the poo behind them and they getalong with cats (cat-friendly dogs!!!!)
If Dog barking annoys you and you are sleeping in a tent I recommend to bring earplugs. Some nights the neighbours dogs gets anxious, cant control that :(.

Situation

  • Vanessa and her family are charming people! Vanessa is very attentive and concerned about our satisfaction.
    The overall site is large, but the pitch reserved for tents is not very big (3 small tents fit just right).
    Dry toilets and showers are equipped with curtains, no problem of intimacy but no hot water. Water being scarce in these times of drought, the water point coming from the well was not functional but there is water available at the house.
    The only slightly negative points were the neighbor's barking dog and the mosquitoes, which are also very fond of this bucolic spot! Please bring repellents!

    But unfortunately this is not enough.
    At the price of 32€ for 2 people, 1 tent and electricity we expected a minimum. However, there was a cocoa ceremony that evening and so many people came for that, so we didn't have a place for our tent. We managed to place it in front of the pool, in a narrow way, in front of the toilets and the shower.
    The cold shower was indicated, no problem but it is in full view, no curtain, no privacy, outside. Concerning the toilets, there are dry and dry ... There it is a bucket which was proposed to us in a tent of solar shower.
    And let's not talk about the smell.
    We could not do the dishes the same evening in the proposed kitchen because of the cocoa ceremony (so no access to water). It was proposed to us to do it the next morning which was not really a problem. So we went to wash the dishes in the morning and surprise, there was not a single drop of water. Vanessa was very kind and did the dishes for us.
    From the evening itself, we had only one desire, to be the next day to leave.
    During the evening, the cocoa ceremony was in full swing and we had been given 2 hours of music, no worries for us but it lasted until midnight. In addition to that, there were 2 or 3 dogs nearby that barked very loudly in sequence.
    We chose this campground for its proximity to the Port Aventura park but it was the worst night of camping in our lives.
    Bad luck and not the fault of our hosts but mosquitoes and flies are in overdrive here...

    We thank you all the same for your warm welcome which we really appreciated and which helped us to spend a less unpleasant time. The dog Nawal was also a little ray of sunshine.
