Description

Hello to all ! We are Caro and Nano and we live in Reignier with Rasta, our little 2 year old cocker spaniel, in a pretty green area, quiet but close to all amenities (village 7 minutes away by foot) and at the gates of Geneva (6 kilometers). It is with great pleasure that we welcome you for a night or a stay in our property.

The setting

We have a log cabin on a plot of 1908 m2 closed and secured, our house is located in a small road of residents, quiet with very little passage.
We are fortunate to have a beautiful view of the mountains and the surrounding fields.
The chalet is composed of two floors open on the inside.
On the first floor, you will find a bathroom and laundry room which will be at your disposal on the second floor where you will find our private space with a terrace overlooking the pool terrace.
Our plot of land overlooks the other plots, our first direct neighbor is currently a small cottage with a vegetable garden and our neighbor spends the days but not the nights there.
The house is located due south (so lots of sun!)

The spots

Please note that the maximum length for motorhomes should not exceed 6 meters for the access to the gate of the house.
The pitch for minivans and small campers is on the side of our house, the access with minivans and small campers is easy in the yard.
On this pitch you will have the sun from morning until about 4 pm and you will be in the shade for the end of the day and evenings.

For our tent campers you will have a choice of pitches at the back of our house under the hazel tree and your vehicle will be in our secure inner courtyard.
For your movements, a badge for the gate will be given to you for your stay.
Here you will always be unique travelers, so that you can enjoy the whole area according to your desires. You will be able to take advantage of the mini-van space but also to sleep under a tent or under the stars in the garden.

The sanitary facilities

For the sanitary facilities, a bathroom on the first floor of our house will be at your disposal with WC and Italian shower.

The amenities

On the garden side, you will have access to the terrace of our house and of course to the swimming pool, midnight swims are allowed as long as there is not too much noise (for our friends the neighbors).

You will also have access to our brasero plancha on the terrace side where you can prepare food by the pool and enjoy the last rays of sunshine (summer 8:45 pm approximately).

For cooler or rainy evenings, at the back of our house, you will also have access to our Finnish kota grill where you can prepare your grills and spend beautiful and unique evenings

As we are also campers, we have all the equipment you might need in case of necessity:
A tent (used but very useful), an inflatable mattress, a gas stove, pots and pans, an electric cooler, an extension cord for electricity, a table and chairs.

Normally and everywhere in the field you will have wifi.

For your grilling at the site, a grill can also be made available with a table and chairs.

There is also a ping-pong table available, card and board games.

Next to the pitch there is electricity and water outside.
There is also water and electricity (water pipes and extension cord are available).

You will also have access to the laundry room next to the bathroom for your laundry.

The activities

Reignier is located at the foot of the Salève between lakes and mountains, only 6 kilometers from Geneva and 40 kilometers from the ski resorts and the city of Annecy.
Here, you will be spoilt for choice for your activities and cultural visits.
In the village, you will find all the necessary stores: (carrefour, bakery, bar, pizzeria, bank and post office. There is also a train station and many other shops).

In case of emergency, the nearest hospital is only 6 minutes away by car.

There is even a tree climbing park for children and adults at 5 minutes drive from the house.

You can visit the city of Geneva either by car, or simply by CEVA (TER) in 30 minutes from the station of Reignier.

You can also enjoy the shores and beaches of Lake Geneva.
The beach of Excenevex is 25 minutes away by car where you can canoe, paddle and many other activities that the beach offers.

And why not discover Yvoire and its magnificent medieval city?

In the summer you can also go up to Lindaret (goat village) located below Avoriaz and have a picnic at Lac de Morillon.

We will be happy to show you around this beautiful region!

Other things

As mentioned above, we live with Rasta, our two year old English cocker spaniel.
She is a dog who loves people of all ages (including children) and who has no place or private ground in the garden.
It could be that you will have morning awakenings filled with big licks and tenderness.
We will of course do our best to ensure that she does not disturb you during your stay.

Two chickens also live here!

Of course, you are welcome to bring your animal friends with you; just let us know when you make your reservation request so that we can provide you with information about our four-legged guests.

In our house there are no big rules in general and even less fuss!
We are simple people who love life and sharing, we will always have the pleasure to receive you around an aperitif and to make you share our small piece of land for your nights.

Rules

There is no time limit for access to the bathroom, we just ask for kindness in the evening or at night and not to make too much noise, cleaning products are provided to leave the place as clean as possible during your stay.

Laundry is usually done in the evening.

For smokers, ashtrays are available.

In case of presence of children on the site and for safety reasons, midnight bathing will be forbidden, except in case of exceptional request and if the parents are present at the poolside.
