Description

Our pretty, shady family site borders a bicycle path and can accommodate a stopover of one or more nights.

Whether on foot, by bike or by car, you'll appreciate the proximity of the amenities of the capital of Oléronaise, the supervised beaches, the wild creeks, or stroll around the island's main fishing port ... unless you'd prefer to relax under our majestic oak trees!
The plot is fully enclosed and out of sight.

The setting

-Ideally located between LA COTINIERE (2 kilometers) and ST PIERRE D'OLERON (900 meters), our plot is isolated from any nearby neighborhood.

It is set in a small, well-kept, open wood, separated from the road by a bicycle path.

-The bottom of the plot overlooks fields of crops and vines, and the sides are bordered by unoccupied private land.

-You'll have easy access to a host of amenities: the nearest restaurant is 900 m away, as are bike and rosalie rentals, the town center is 1.2 km away, the market and supermarkets 1.5 km, and local producers 10 minutes away on foot.

The spots

-To guarantee space for our visitors, we only accept 2 vehicles at a time (vans, converted trucks and sections) with a maximum of 8 people.

-Flat and easy to access, but you have to cross the cycle path (very busy in July and August): don't worry, cyclists and pedestrians are friendly.

-Location shade, half-shade

The sanitary facilities

-Shared" dry toilets (campers commit to restoring the "little corner" on their departure so that it remains in the state in which everyone wants to find it).

The amenities

-Private parking
-Electricity via external plug (bring an extension cord)
-No WIFI, but the network works well
-Terrace available with table + chairs + parasol
Cold water pump (non-potable)
-Hard barbecue (responsible use depending on weather conditions)

-Cabana and small caravan reserved for our personal use.
-ATTENTION: Emptying not possible on site (service point 700m away).

The activities

-Supervised beach (4.2 kms)
-Helicopter baptism (3 kms)
-Cruise departures (3 kms)
-Hiking and cycling trails
-Shopping
-Bar/Restaurant
-Fishing
-Surfing/sailing
-Events
-Culture and sightseeing

Other things

-Once the vehicle is in place, everything can be done on foot or, even better, by bike.

-Potential noise pollution from road traffic in summer.

-Person you can trust on site to welcome you and hand over the keys OR to set up your car independently.

Rules

Our LITTLE 4-legged friends are welcome as long as their owners respect the premises.

-No wild parties, but a fun evening with reasonable music volume.

-No fires, no cigarette butts,

-Responsible barbecue

-Deposit waste in bins 1km away

-Pets and children are the full responsibility of parents and guardians.

All we ask is that everyone acts with respect for each other and for the site.

  • I had an excellent stay and would like to warmly thank Daniel and Florence for their kindness, availability, advice, trust and the cleanliness of the grounds. It's a quiet place, a change of scenery, and well located. I'll be back, because I haven't had time to discover all the secrets of this island!
Don't hesitate to take a little tour, you won't be disappointed with your trip and the friendliness and attentiveness of Florence and Daniel.
I look forward to meeting you on my next visit... I recommend them with my eyes closed...!!!

  • Very quiet, spacious plot with lockable gate, reassuring for young children. Not far from Tortinière, which is easy to get to by bike, with the cycle path right in front of the gate. Delighted to have met Daniel and Florence, who stopped by to check we had everything we needed. Bring mosquito spray in the evening.

  • Very well located plot !!!!
Spacious and quiet, despite the nearby road!!!????????

  • We had a great time on a pleasant, shady site, especially with dogs ????la bike path just outside the site
    I recommend

  • Very nice plot, just as described, thanks to Daniel and Florence for their kindness and advice. I recommend their land.

  • A short stop in the middle of the island on this very well-maintained plot, not far from the shops and the ocean but a little isolated for our taste. If you like peace and quiet, I recommend it!

  • Very good stay in a quiet area
The hosts welcomed us very well, very friendly.
    I totally recommend

  • We had a great weekend on a quiet, clean site with trees and a bike path just outside the site. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Daniel and flo, but they gave us a very good explanation by SMS.

  • Hello Florence & Daniel,
Thank you for your confidence, your site is atypical
just what you need to escape the norm...
    Kind regards.

  • Daniel and Florence made us feel very welcome and gave us excellent advice on good addresses close to the site. The site is very clean and functional (easy to maneuver and flat terrain). There's also a terrace. We recommend it without hesitation!

  • We really enjoyed our stay on the island of Oleron. The bicycle paths are right in front of the camp. This one is flat, convenient and very well shaded. It is very quiet at night, a little less during the day because of the proximity of the road.
Daniel and Florence are very available and friendly.
    A good memory!

  • It is a perfect pied a terre to visit the island of oléron. The directions to find the land were perfectly clear.
Daniel and Florence were always available to answer my questions.
    I recommend them.

  • Hello, first of all, a big thank you for the kindness and all the practical and necessary information to visit the island. Very pleasant place, great for those who are autonomous. Possibility to have electricity and dry toilets, ideal for our van, especially in winter. Very pleasant host and especially very respectful of nature, what we are looking for. Explanation of the place very precise. Wooded and shaded grounds. We are very pleased with this little weekend and we will return with pleasure in summer to see this beautiful landscape in another way. Thank you again for your welcome and your patience. We recommend these extremely kind hosts... Sandrine and Michael.

  • We were there for 3 days the host was very quick to respond to any questions and had a welcome from a family member on arrival the overall experience was excellent the port was great for seafood, cycling routes were good a bit of road noise during the day but we were out a lot so did not worry us would definitely use again when we are next in the area

  • Florence was extremely reactive and friendly, to welcome us quickly. A big thank you.
Closed site with small terrace and lots of trees. But close to the road.
