Description

Nomads and travelers, welcome to our camping area! Come and relax in the peace and quiet and discover the center of Portugal. Learn how we live off-grid and be inspired by this extraordinary place! Here the sun provides the electricity and the well the water.

The setting

In the middle of nature, between two small villages, a few parking spaces and camping places for tents are waiting for you on a private land with access to the river. Every season is different and so is every stay, but there is no lack of sunshine all year round. The surroundings invite you to go for a nice mountain bike ride, hike through the forests, practice yoga, cool off at one of the beautiful river beaches, enjoy the peace and quiet... The next shops are only 10 minutes away by car.

The spots

You will arrive on a paved road that crosses our property and then take a small climb on a dirt road to park. Easily accessible for vans and medium sized campers. The pitches are flat and not very shady. They are located on the upper part of our property which has been converted to accommodate travelers, we ourselves live on the lower part.

The sanitary facilities

Washbasin, unheated outdoor shower and dry toilets with panoramic view are accessible H24 for you (soap, shower gel, wood cutters and toilet paper provided).

The amenities

Equipped spaces are available for travelers: equipped kitchen (gas stove, utensils, dishes and cutlery, pots and pans), spring water, dining area and dishwashing area, dry toilets, unheated shower, telephone/laptop charging station, trash cans, stereo system, barbecue (depending on the season), access to the river You have the possibility to connect temporarily to our private wifi. Solar energy provides us with electricity (limited).

The activities

Depending on the season and the mood we organize campfires, musical evenings, barbecues, pizzas etc. and offer good meals on request according to dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian...) We offer additional services according to availability: DIY station for repairing and fitting out vans with or without technical support, bike maintenance, guided tours, shopping...

Other things

Pets are accepted under certain conditions. We have a dominant female Husky who is adorable with children and adults, however not with some dogs. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Arrival preferably between 10am and 6pm, please confirm approximate time.
Please respect the environment and the neighborhood :)
Please use water economically, as it is a limited resource.
Parents are fully responsible for their children.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to cook a meal. We were even able to sleep outside under the stars on an outdoor room setup. There are several nice swimming spots nearby. I would highly recommend this spot and will stay there again if ever in the area.
