Description

Just minutes from I-70! Pitch your tent or hang your hammock in the beautiful ponderosa pines. Driveway is at 8,000 ft elevation so camping will be around 7,900ft. We have wildfire restrictions in affect often so please be mindful. 25 minutes to Denver 15 minutes to Red Rocks and Golden 5 minutes to Idaho Springs 10 minutes to Hot Springs 20 minutes to Central City 45 minutes to A-Basin/Keystone

Sites are secluded and tucked into the sides of the mountain with easy access to vehicles (parked in driveway)

Potable drinking water is available at this listing. (Spigot, Pump or well)
I have water jugs if you need to borrow one. Please plan on having water vessels to use.

Fire ban in effect: No fires, charcoal grills, smoking, or fireworks are allowed. Gas firepits, gas BBQ and gas stove are allowed, however.
We have gas and electric grills to use just ask. Backpacking and camp stoves can also be used. Certain fire pits approved by the USFS can also be used.

A toilet is available at this listing. (Portable toilet)
Modern outhouse with instructions and a portable toilet inside.

Pets are allowed at this listing. (On leash)
Please keep pets on leash or cable run. Also camper is responsible for picking up dog poop and disposing of it in the locking garbage can.

A shower is available at this listing. (Cold water only)

Waste disposal is available at this listing. (Recycling bin, Trash bin)
Please put trash in bear proof cans on main driveway.

Kitchen or cooking equipment are available (Communal)
Charcoal Grill is complimentary(this can not be used during fire bans). Electric and Propane grills available for rental(legal to use during fire bans).

No shooting on Floyd Hill it’s a County Ordinance.

We do have wildlife that frequently hangs out on the property. Please do your best to admire them from a distance and do not attempt to feed, approach, and/or touch.

We have bears, mountain lions, bobcats, wolves, and coyotes. That being said do not store food/refuse in your tents or outside. Store food in bear safe containers, in vehicles, or indoors. Remove garbage and toilet bag at the end of each day and put into bear safe garbage cans in driveway.

Quiet time between 9pm-8am we love our community and our tranquility. We hope you enjoy it as well!

Please be familiar with "Leave No Trace" guidelines and follow them.

Anyone who does not follow the rules will be removed from the premises.
