Description

La CIVELLE (as it's called) - A charming cabin with no electricity or water supply, but you can rest assured that you'll still have plenty of light; for water, there's everything you need in the communal sanitary facilities. On the Loire à Vélo and Vélodyssée cycle routes between Paimboeuf and St-Brévin, this is a lovely little pied-à-terre for 2 people. Free WiFi - Covered, heated swimming corridor. BBQ - Collective kitchenette

The setting

La CIVELLE lies in the shade of the maritime pines in the landscaped grounds of the Manoir de l'Espérance (XiXth century), an establishment awarded the Rando accueil, Vélo Accueil, Loire à vélo, Vélodyssée label, but not only.... since it has been awarded the Qualité Tourisme as well as the Ecolabel Européen since 2014. A pilgrim's stopover, it also welcomes visitors on their way - or in the saddle - to ST JACQUES de COMPOSTELLE.

The spots

A single room with a double bed, bedside table, sofa and armchair. A small private terrace and an overhang under the pagoda overlooking the park welcomes you for your meal or coffee break with a garden table and two chairs. Private washing line.
This accommodation is offered in "HALTE ÉTHIQUE" (1): bed linen and towels are not provided. Please bring your own sleeping bags or travel sheets.
(1) Faced with the alarming scarcity of fresh water, our small European eco-labeled structure is committed to preserving this resource.
*BONNE NUIT" kit including bottom sheet + top sheet + pillowcase + 1 towel = 8.5€/person to be paid directly on site.

The sanitary facilities

Inside the collective sanitary block: 2 hot-water shower cubicles with washbasins + a panoramic family shower for 3 people with washbasin - 2 WCs - 2 urinals - Hair dryer. The sanitary block is always open.
You'll love the unusual feature of the panoramic family shower, where you can shower together with a breathtaking view over the fields.

The amenities

Our cabins have a practical communal herbal tea room. You'll find everything you need to eat: plates, cutlery, glasses.
Marie thinks of everything: she's added salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc...
La Tisanerie has a double-bowl sink for washing up, but we use dish towels and put our dishes away where we picked them up. If food has spilled over, the microwave is cleaned to ensure that the equipment is free from dirt for the other residents.
A fridge-freezer and a water cooler, plus 2 microwaves for reheating your meals. Coffee maker and kettle.
Collective BBQ, may be prohibited by order of the Prefect due to drought.
Heated swimming pool under cover from 15/04 to 15/10, misting system, chapel.
Collective bicycle garage.
2 USB sockets in the bathroom SAS for charging cell phones.
Sockets for charging VAE batteries are available in the bike garage. Free WiFi throughout.

The activities

The beach and all its water sports are less than 7km away, and can be reached by a dedicated cycle path along the estuary, where you can admire the picturesque fisheries and the abundance of birds.
Cycling and hiking for all those who like to get around gently.
Just across the Loire, you can visit the Atlantic shipyards where these ocean giants are built.
Or maybe you'd prefer to visit Airbus, where other aeronautical giants are under construction!
Pornic is 15 minutes away. La Baule is 30 minutes away, and don't miss the magnificent Guérande peninsula!

Outstanding
  • Perfect, country-style accommodation, very well organized! Be careful though, at this price we're talking about a dry night.
