Description

It's a former fish farm, in a very wild valley in the Cantal.
A vast area along the river is dedicated to wilderness and eco-responsible camping.

The setting

Here we are in an isolated, unspoilt little paradise, where the river refreshes us. Ideal to recharge your batteries and get away from it all...

The spots

The terrain is flat and huge, with the river and large water basins.
We've marked out some pitches with wood shavings, so campers will have plenty of space and privacy.

The sanitary facilities

3 brand-new dry toilets!

The amenities

A small shared kitchen with cooking utensils

The activities

The Lac du barrage d'enchanet is twenty minutes away, as is the village of Salers and Aurillac, both 35 minutes away.
Butcher and grocery store 7 minutes away by car.

Other things

Please be especially careful with stoves and open flames.

Rules

You leave your car in the parking lot and use a cart to take your belongings to your chosen pitch.
There are only 2 pitches for vans, and 6 for tents.
The site is bordered by the river and there are several watering holes; beware of young children.

  • Superb place and magnificent welcome by our hosts! We really enjoyed our stay with them!

  • Despite the rain, a beautiful place. Quiet and surrounded by nature.
Thanks to the hosts for allowing us to eat in the warmth :-)

  • Nicholas' field is a very beautiful space, we feel really out of place, the dry toilets are very clean. We spent beautiful evenings watching the stars. Thanks to Nicholas for his welcome.
