Description

Immerse yourself in the enchanted world of "La ferme expérimentale du CAVIAR" - share in the farm's rural and cultural life, and discover the treasures of the local heritage at the crossroads of Brittany, Normandy and Mayenne.

The setting

Campsite in the fields of an old Breton farmhouse, which has come back to life with renovations, cultural events and a warm welcome for visitors.

You'll find a theater of greenery between the vegetable garden and the goat meadow.
You'll meet a farmer who shares her simple, hectic life, punctuated by a variety of seasonal activities. Human, animal and plant encounters in the tranquility of a green corner of paradise.

The amenities

Sockets are available in the communal barn where evening meals are taken.
A shared kitchen (fridge, gas stove, crockery, utensils & herbs from the vegetable garden) is available for preparing your lunch and/or evening meals, with a seating area.

The activities

On the farm: Meet the farm animals, visit the vegetable garden and the building being restored using traditional techniques.

July 21 - August 18 - September 22: Every month, the farm association hosts GUINGUETTES EVENTS at the Théâtre de Verdure. Hosted by local musicians and organized by the farm's cheerful team of neighboring volunteers, you'll find refreshments and seasonal, locavore food at low prices. The campsite kitchen is exceptionally closed to transform into a tavern for the event. A €10 membership fee will be charged to each participant. In addition to supporting our young cultural association, it entitles you to a discount on the overnight rate.

By car:
15min away: farmers' markets, heritage preservation & resource center, forest, botanical gardens, pretty little Breton & Norman villages.

30 minutes away: On the Breton side: the medieval city of Fougères & its castle - On the Norman side: the unmissable Mont-St-Michel
Beach 1h away: Cancale and St Malo on the Breton side, Granville on the Norman side.
