Description

Welcome to "l'echo du jardin" at frappsang, a farm located in Lamorteau, a quiet spot on a hillside,
a large vegetable garden, an orchard and a nice camping area, bbq, campfire.
Beautiful view over the Ton valley and close to the forest.
Our plot lies along the Gr129, next to the Transgaumaise, Gaume buissonnière and Lorraine Gaumaise trails.

!!! In season, on certain days, we have to take care of the vegetable garden, which is also on the grounds. We'll let you know just in case before we accept your reservation.

The setting

Quiet spot on a hillside in the Gaume region, a few kilometers from Belgium's southernmost village.
Frappsang" could be translated as "where the sound hits": depending on the wind direction, the sound of the valley "hits" the hill.

The spots

Flat terrain, shaded in the late afternoon.

The sanitary facilities

Non-drinking water on site, dry toilet, drinking water canister and solar shower available if required (please let us know).

The amenities

Fire place, table and garden furniture.
No electricity on site.

The activities

On the gr129 route, not far from the Transgaumaise and Gaume buissonnière trails.
Torgny (one of Wallonia's most beautiful villages) is a 30' walk through the woods or 4km by road, Orval Abbey is 25km away and on the French side, we're about 7km from the Avioth basilica and Montmédy citadel, also well worth a visit.

Other things

Depending on the weather, motorized vehicles will have to stay at the entrance of the site, to preserve it. (Wheelbarrows are available for transporting equipment to the campsite).
Children are the responsibility of their parents, and we decline all liability in the event of an accident.

Rules

You must leave the pitch as clean as you found it when you arrived.
The fruit trees remain our property, so please don't over-pick or fill the crates before you leave.
We won't hold it against you, however, if you pick a few apples or plums for a little tasting (in season)...

Activities

  • Bar / Restaurant
  • Canoe / Kayak
  • Cultural visits
  • Fishing
  • Horse-riding

Outstanding
  • Very nice place, well situated, and Pierre is very nice! We spent a good evening and a good night in spite of the rain. We could make a fire and take shelter. To do again!
