Description

Welcome to nature and animal lovers.
An ideal place for riders on the move or on touring vacations.

The setting

Located in the heart of the Gatinais countryside, in an old farmhouse with 6 ha of wooded grounds.
Set back from the town, 10 min from the nearest supermarket and 20 min from the main shopping area.
Quiet, restful setting, in keeping with country life.
Tractor noise from time to time, rooster crowing, horses neighing, frogs and birds singing and "guard" dogs barking (but very friendly and cuddly).

The spots

Various locations possible according to your preferences (subject to availability).
For example (non-exhaustive list):
Near the pond, in the shade, about 150 m from our home.
Or in one of the horse pastures (without horses, for safety) around the house.
Or in a different spot closer to the house, around 40 to 70m away, moderately shaded.
Or in the middle of the trees in our little forest (tent only, barbecue and fire forbidden).
The pitches are "rough", but I can mow, trim and chainsaw your chosen pitch on arrival.

The sanitary facilities

Sanitary facilities and shower (in the home) available from 6pm to 11.30pm every day and from 8.30am to 11.30pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, subject to our presence.
During school vacations, accessible from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. every day, subject to our presence.
The same applies to drinking water.

small barbecue (charcoal not provided)
Brazier (wood available)
Wooden camping table
Unheated swimming pool (tubular) (depending on season)
Jacuzzi (4-person inflatable, depending on season)
Refrigerator with freezer (on site) accessible at the same time as the sanitary facilities.
Electricity available at extra charge (extension cords not supplied).
For our friends the horses, possibility of lodging in supplement (to ask for information), in box (3 with availability) or with the close. Hay provided.
Access to a riding arena for riders and their horses.

The activities

For our equestrian friends with their horses, you can ride in the surrounding area, with access to the riding arena.
For walkers, there are various paths.
If you're lucky, you'll be able to hear the stag bellowing on site from mid-September to mid-October.
Château de Chambord (approx. 100 km, 1H30 drive)
Grand Parquet de Fontainebleau (approx. 70 km, 1H10 drive)
Lamotte-Beuvron Federal Equestrian Park (approx. 65 km, 1H05 drive)

Other things

Campfires on the ground are not allowed, but a brazier is available.
Horses are not available for rides.
If you come with animals, especially dogs, a formal presentation on neutral ground is required, as we have two dogs.
Children are under parental supervision.

Rules

Arrival from 6 pm to 11:30 pm daily and from 9 am to 11:30 pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, subject to our presence. (to be agreed when booking)
During school vacations from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily, subject to our presence (to be agreed at time of booking).
Departure before 5 p.m. if other campers are expected.
Respect for nature, do not leave garbage on site etc...
Respect for others, no loud music etc...

Steeven even cleared the undergrowth for us! Our daughters were delighted to pet the animals and enjoy the pool. Thank you again for such a rejuvenating stay.
