Description

among the olive trees or in the open meadow you can camp while enjoying the tranquility of a once multipurpose farm based on permaculture principles and now by necessity reconverted into a bee farm (few bees present during the summer season as they are grazing in the mountains). You can admire the lake from the top of the hill and then decide to go for a swim since it is not even 10 minutes away

The spots

there are no predefined pitches. you can camp wherever you like. being hilly terrain there are not many completely flat spaces but you are sure to find some. in any case the slope is gentle in many places. you can bring your car next to your tent.

The sanitary facilities

there are two solar showers, a sink for dishes and laundry, and a dry toilet

The amenities

a common room with electricity, a firgorifer, internet and a communal table on which to eat is available

Rules

access is always allowed. the space is large so there is room and quiet for everyone. we ask, of course, that behavior be respectful of other guests and people living in the house.

  • Visiting Verona for the Arena Opera Festival, we were delighted with the welcome we received from Rénato and his family. A lot of attention and availability, especially from his parents, and a lot of freedom in setting up on site. Just one small independent remark, the noise of the freeway at night when the wind is in that direction.

  • Thank you for allowing us to stay one night ciao!

  • In Renato's beautiful garden, the terrain is sloping, as mentioned, but we were able to find a nice flat spot. The view from the shower is magnificent, the cuddly, playful cat kept us very amused, and the common room with its fridge is a real plus. Renato is a pleasant host who is easy to communicate with.

  • Great welcome at Renato's, the language barrier was there but we managed to understand each other.
The site is very nice, even though it's not very big, and has everything you need!

  • Great location, warm welcome, in the heart of nature and with the lake just a short drive away. Top! Thank you

  • Rénato was charming and explained everything clearly about the place and its organization. He even pointed out a lovely swimming spot on Lake Garda.

  • Warm welcome, beautiful grounds, full of life. But overall cleanliness needs to be reviewed.

  • Spot to visit Lake Garda and the surrounding area. Ideal for one or two nights, no more. Minimalist facilities, but everything you need!
Positive points: Welcome by Renato, a common room with electrical access (refrigerator), peace and quiet in the heart of the countryside.
Points for improvement: Sanitary facilities (1 dry toilet and 2 summer showers for all) located at the bottom of the garden. Sloping ground (for campers, it's possible to set up under the trees to shelter from the heat).
No recharging facilities for electric vehicles.
Better maintenance of facilities (cleaning of premises and sanitary facilities) would enhance the experience.

  • We're two travelers on foot with our backpacks and a tent.

We arrived late, so the reception was by phone only, but we didn't have much chance to talk to Renato afterwards. He did point out a free shuttle to the Leone shopping center, which was very useful.

There are a lot of people on site, which makes it easy to meet people, especially in the common room, which is pleasant but lacks a bit of cleanliness.

The place is very pretty and everyone has their own place, so you don't feel oppressed.

On foot, you can expect to walk a long way to reach the station and Lake Garda, but by car it's much easier.

  • Renato and his family are very welcoming. There were several other campers on the site at the same time as us. We slept near the beehives but had no problem with the bees. There's only 1 dry toilet for quite a few campers... Difficult to find a flat spot for our van. The lakeside villages nearby are very pretty.

  • Excellent welcome, and magnificent surroundings! Ecological showers and toilets. The common room is equipped with a fridge and tables/chairs, which is much appreciated... but could do with a little cleaning.

  • Good welcome from Renato. The terrain is sloping but there is a flat area for our van. The place is nice and quiet, there are toilets and a place to eat. Good for one night.

  • We spent a very pleasant evening at Renato's! The setting was very pleasant. The terrain is slightly sloping but that didn't prevent us from sleeping well. We recommend this place if you love nature.

  • A very warm welcome, a nice exchange with Renato and his family, very well located in the quiet countryside with a view of Lake Garda in the distance.
Dry toilets, solar showers, outdoor tap and common room with fridge and electricity are all very functional.
One small downside: the sloping terrain.

  • Thanks to Renato for his welcome but unfortunately that's not all. An old and unkempt shower room, a room that looks like a kitchen but that hasn't been cleaned either. A pity because the setting is magnificent despite the uneven terrain.

  • Renato very kindly welcomed us to his beautiful, peaceful, green grounds!
Despite the hail storm, we'll keep very fond memories of our stay. He was very helpful after the storm. He really cares about his guests.
    We highly recommend him.

  • Excellent stay with Renato, thank you for everything. I recommend it.

  • Great welcome from Renato. Reception on a slightly sloping site with an ecological approach (dry toilets and solar shower).

  • We were here for one night and it was quiet, we found it Good. The contact was quick and smooth. We were greeted friendly and Renato has shown us everything. The equipment is ecologically based, kept quite rustic, not everyone's cup of tea. The access road is a gravel road without a real slope. With our box van Fiat Ducato 6 meters in length no problem. For larger motorhomes from 7 meters rather unsuitable but discuss that with Renato rather himself. Renato speaks English and of course Italian, German is not his thing. Give him a chance and try it out. We wish him all the best!
