I was very well received on my arrival and my questions were answered in a friendly and discreet manner.
Large plot with many flat pitches under the pine trees: shade/sun according to preference.
Minimalist but functional facilities (WC, shower) and very clean.
I was able to experience sleeping in a converted car in complete peace and security.
In the evening, I was a little worried about the quietness of the place (the cries of the many geese who sleep very, very late, the donkeys, the barking of the dog in the distance and the passage of trucks on the main road, just next door).
In the end, I slept rather well, as you can't hear too much noise in the vehicle.
So thank you, because it's right next to Hourtin lake. -

Note that the site is just a little way from the shops (but that's no big deal, with a good bike, the cycle path is nearby).

Access by camping car is not stable but not dangerous.
Busy road 100m away, otherwise quiet and relaxing.
Bicycle path 200 m from the campsite, between Carcan and Hourtin, in the middle of pine trees. -

When you drive a Combi, that's exactly what you're looking for. A place in the middle of nature with no fuss. We're all set up in the clearing, with water and electricity for those who want it. Wilderness camping in safe mode!
On the other hand, Rainer, the geese are very good guardians, almost too good! -

Patrice Q.It's a corner of nature, so you don't have to be fussy: a hose for water, an extension cord and that's it! I didn't see Rainer, but his girlfriend made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to find us everything we needed. Mind you, no toilet, that's in the nature.

The place is very large and surrounded by animals, close to the road without being too noisy, fairly easy to get to and offers all the essential amenities, and very regularly maintained to boot.
