Description

We have a large area that we regularly improve to make it more beautiful and more in tune with biodiversity. An olive grove, a forest, an ornamental garden and a vegetable garden.
We have cats, dogs and chickens.
Gardeners, designers and amateur artists are welcome to give us ideas or even help us with original creations.

The setting

Located 10 km from the lower Gorges du Verdon, our garden has two terraces where you'll be sheltered from the sun and heat in summer. Dominant view of the lower Alps. Part of our land is a private forest. Very quiet location. The road leading to our house is on a lower level. The place is therefore quiet.

The spots

Restanques on the edge of the forest. Plenty of trees for shade. Flat terrain. For small and large tents. We have identified 3 or 4 pleasant pitches where you will be sufficiently isolated from others for everyone's peace and quiet.

The sanitary facilities

WC and bathroom in a separate cottage.
Cold water supply at several points in the garden.
Kitchen in cottage.
Barbecue, bread and pizza oven near the main house.

The amenities

Possibility of connecting to electricity via an external plug. Extension cord available. WiFi access.
The chalet's kitchen has a stove with hob and oven. Crockery and cooking utensils available at your discretion.

The activities

Table tennis. Swimming pool. Trampoline. Boules pitch. All on our grounds.
Several lakes within easy reach, including kayak and electric boat rentals.
Nearby climbing spots including Quinson and Châteauvert.
Numerous walks.
Visit small Provencal villages.

Other things

Nature lovers are welcome.
You can buy seasonal vegetables on site, as we have a large vegetable garden.
You can also buy eggs, as we have 10 hens.
Please note: nights can be very chilly, so bring warm clothing.
2 supermarkets nearby, the nearest less than 10 minutes by car. In the village: butcher's, baker's, grocer's.

Rules

Of course, the most important rules concern fire, as there are many trees and the risk of fire is increasing in this region. No cigarette butts are to be found on our site.
The swimming pool is not secured and is therefore the sole responsibility of parents. This pool is available to campers and must be used with respect for its use by myself and my family.
You arrive at a time that suits you.
However, each time you arrive, I offer a tour of the site with a presentation of the facilities and pitches.
This takes some time. It is therefore preferable to arrive during the day and if possible for a stay of several nights.
Around the pool there's a terrace and another terrace close to the pool and the chalet. These 2 terraces are at your disposal for meals and for long evenings with music and chatter to respect other people's sleep.

Extras

Tent ready

We have 2 tents for 2 people. Basic, easy to set up. For emergency use.

  • Better late than never, we visited Anne and Xavier in June 2023 :) We have wonderful memories! The place is beautiful and very soothing. Anne, Xavier and their children are so welcoming, we were lucky enough to share a few meals with them!
As for the region, it's magnificent, of course, and Montmeyan is well located, providing super-quick access to the Verdon Gorge and its lakes!
Many thanks again to Anne and Xavier for welcoming us with our 2 not always well-behaved dogs :)

  • Great stay at Anne's, the place is very relaxing and offers plenty of places to relax. Anne is also very kind and welcoming, we can only recommend her. Thanks again

  • 2 very pleasant nights 2 nice days . Enjoyed with our loulous .

  • Anne and her husband gave me a warm welcome to their peaceful place. I appreciated the facilities on offer, in particular the possibility of recharging my bike battery and the cabin, which is very well equipped for campers. I also took advantage of the swimming pool, planted my teepee near the olive trees, and met some very nice people.

  • Very pleasant place, as are the hosts. A pleasure to be welcomed into this beautiful space by two young, very beautiful, friendly and playful dogs. No problem for us, we had a wonderful stay (but remember to take some PQ if you don't want a little surprise on the throne).
We'll be back if the opportunity arises.

  • Very pleasant stay with Anne and her husband.
    Very welcoming and peaceful place.
We were able to take advantage of all the facilities on offer, including a kitchen, fridge and bathroom, a real luxury for a camper in spirit. As well as the swimming pool, the Ping Ping ball game and trampoline and the little chickens for the kids.
The dogs are friendly and not intrusive.
A pretty vegetable garden, fields of flowers, olive trees, everything you need to recharge your batteries.
A wide variety of activities in the surrounding area, even if we didn't go out much.
My biggest regret was forgetting the super bouquet of lemon verbena offered by Anne.
The homemade confits are delicious ????.
I'll be making them again next summer! That's for sure.
Thank you for your warm welcome.

  • Our stay at Anne's was exactly what we were looking for when we came to Home Camper: peace and quiet, comfort and human interaction. Anne is a gentle person with whom we enjoyed sharing. Her beautifully-designed property is conducive to exchanges between campers (we spent 2 evenings sharing meals), while preserving the calm since the pitches are far enough apart from each other and from communal living areas. The kitchen and bathroom are spotless, and the pool is a real plus.
We could have stayed for a week if we didn't have other destinations in mind. We hope to return one day, as the region is full of magnificent scenery.

  • A little corner of paradise and tranquility, we spent 2 nights and didn't want to leave. Anne and Xavier are very welcoming and very friendly - a great way to meet people and to get to know the other campers. A beautiful living space to share. Everything you need for a pleasant stay.

A little extra, buying vegetables and eggs from the owners is very much appreciated.

We'll be back again, but this time for longer.

  • Thanks for the experience and the 4 days!

Quiet, friendly place, perfect for recharging your batteries.
We were made very welcome and thank you to Anne for her kindness and simplicity.
I highly recommend it if you want to visit the area.

Shower, kitchen and fridge available in a clean, friendly environment.

    Thank you very much!

  • Anne and Xavier were very welcoming and caring.
The place is clean and spacious, and they don't overload their grounds, which is very pleasant.
Swimming pool, small chalet with WC, bath, washing machine, kitchen and everything else you need is available, which is a real plus.
    We had a great stay.
Lots of places to visit and things to do in the area.
The hosts are great, and I hope the next homecampers will be too.
I highly recommend staying with them.
Thank you Anne and Xavier, we'll be back with great pleasure.

  • Top hosts!
    Great facilities. Idyllic setting!
An address not to be missed!
    We'll definitely be back.
Many thanks to you, we had a wonderful time.

  • Soothing place, very nicely maintained and with everything you need on site. Anne and Xavier are adorable and very welcoming and available.
We had a wonderful stay with them.

  • A pleasant, well-equipped setting, just a few minutes from the low gorges of Quinson, Baudinard and Lac de Montpezat. Anne is always ready to listen to campers.

  • A very pleasant stopover thanks to Anne's warm welcome, who did everything she could to make us feel at home and recharge our batteries before continuing our journey!
Smiles, kindness...but also a very pleasant kitchen and bathroom, as well as a swimming pool and trampoline!
    Super, thanks again!

  • Many thanks to Anne and Xavier for their warm welcome. We are delighted to have chosen this beautiful place and our children and pets had a great time.

  • Great stay at Anne's.
The place is beautiful and Anne and her husband are extremely kind.
    Many thanks to them.

  • Great, everything available, toilet, bathtub , plenty of space

  • We had a great weekend at Anne and Xavier's place.
The place is perfectly adapted to receive campers.
All the facilities are there for comfort and privacy.
What's more, we were made very welcome. The hosts take great care to ensure you have a great stay!
We recommend it with our eyes closed!

  • For our first experience, we arrived in an idyllic place, inhabited by very warm and welcoming people.
    We'll be back with pleasure!!!

  • A week of idleness at Anne and Xavier's place. A little paradise with a host of facilities, swimming pool, trampoline, petanque pitch ... never a dull moment, our 4-year-old daughter's eyes are still sparkling ... sanitary facilities, kitchen and crockery available free of charge ... what more could you ask for ... we were lucky enough to taste eggs from the chickens and vegetables from the garden ... excellent. We also went to Anne's children's food truck, and here too we can only recommend it, as the quality is really top-notch...an impeccable welcome, with kindness, discretion and always ready to help. We recommend this place and would like to thank Anne and Xavier's family.

  • Perfect for visiting the lower Gorges du Verdon. We appreciated the shady spot Anne reserved for us and the swimming pool.

  • There were no dishes to wash and we arranged the garbage can without any indication of where everything was mixed and flowing. I was asked to refund a mattress even though we were 3 families and the owners' dog had been running around the poscine with a sharp stick for several moments without anyone intervening.
Right. We arrived late the evening before and left in the late afternoon. All in all, we were ok despite the bad campsite and the smell of cat pee in the kitchen - that's camping, but the welcome was primitive, as were the directions to find the place.

  • Very pleasant and attentive host. Magnificent night in the shade of the trees, overlooking the olive groves and lavender. The swimming pool is a great plus for children and adults wanting to cool off. Thank you Anne for everything and see you next year for a longer stay. Les4 bretonnes

  • Great experience at Anne's!
A place with a change of scenery, calm with all amenities at your disposal.
Thank you for your warm welcome and kindness!

  • The grounds are ideal for camping, with shady areas that come in handy during hot spells.
The swimming pool adds a pleasant touch of comfort.

  • superb weekend, I still have stars in my eyes....
Anne and Zavier are there to make you feel at home, easy to talk to and communicate with, with good advice ....
Flat, easy-to-reach plot, not overlooked, surrounded by olive trees and lavender - the perfect setting ....
the rest of the land is lovingly flowered, with a beautiful vegetable garden.... just sitting by the pool to contemplate it, it's total happiness!
It was a good stay to totally decompress
    thanks again ...
    I highly recommend

  • After 1 road trip all over France, I can say that Anne's stay was exceptional! The beauty of the place, the surroundings and above all the friendliness of Anne and her husband charmed us... and as an added bonus, her daughter makes delicious burgers! Thank you

  • A great first experience with Anne and Xavier
The simple joys of life and a lot of exchanges
I would come back with pleasure
