Description

Asia in the Pays-d'Auge ..... My wife is Thai, and we both run a Thai restaurant in the commune of Lisieux.
Our most memorable trips include Burma, Laos, Cambodia, India, and of course Thailand, to which we return again and again, as well as many other countries. We love sharing, it's part of our values.

The setting

Among exotic trees, such as palms, banana trees, olive trees, orange trees and frangipani trees.... more than two hundred different varieties of plants stand side by side in a magnificent setting...
We've also created a pétanque court, installed an Asian straw hut, an underground barbecue and a fish pond to complete the décor.... all in a green setting in the countryside... 25 minutes from the famous Normandy holiday beaches (Deauville, Cabourg, Honfleur) and 45 minutes from the D-Day landing beaches.
Animals are also our masters: parrots, turtles, peacocks, hens, roosters, quails...... :-)
We've started to cultivate a vegetable garden, and during your stay, depending on the season and the harvest, I'll be delighted to offer you a few varieties of vegetables, and aromatic and officinal herbs, some from faraway lands.

The spots

The site is flat and secure, with two large, easily accessible pitches for motorhomes, complete with electric hook-up points. Part of the site is laid to lawn, and can also be used for your own use.

The sanitary facilities

Additional sanitary facilities are available. A bucket filled with water is placed next to the toilet, and will be used for evacuation. (Even the toilets will remind you of Thailand lol) We haven't been able to complete the installation yet, but we're working on it, and can now offer you this equipment to complement your own.

The amenities

We do our utmost to offer you the best possible reception conditions. Two electric hook-up points for motorhomes are available, as well as a drinking water supply, the possibility of barbecuing with the one available, the emptying of your chemical toilet (cassette) into a sewage system, the use of a pétanque court, the loan of extension cords on request...
During your stay, we ask you to respect the site, the animals who live there in happy retirement in their enclosures, and the equipment we are happy to lend you.

The activities

As we are both restaurateurs of Thai specialties, and with a clientele that has already been won over, you will be very welcome to taste our dishes, prepared by the owner who is an expert, on the spot or to take away to your place of welcome. The town of Lisieux is ideally located, in the heart of the Normandy bocage valleys. Its central position puts you close to the most beautiful beaches of Normandy, Deauville, Trouville, Honfleur, not forgetting the D-Day landing beaches.

The Basilica of Sainte-Thérèse de Lisieux is a must-see for pilgrims and tourists alike, while the Cerza zoological park is located on the outskirts of Lisieux. The famous cider route, with its farms and apple orchards, is just a stone's throw from the property where you'll be vacationing, not to mention the many castles and gardens, which can be reached in ten to 25 minutes, and the famous regional markets. Or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of the Pays-d'Auge and recharge your batteries.

Other things

Conviviality, respect and exchange are values we hope to share with our guests.

Rules

My wife and I are close to nature, and want to respect it as much as possible. In this spirit, we ask you to ensure that your garbage, including cigarette butts, is collected and not thrown on any part of the site. Children must be under the responsibility of their parents. We would like to draw your particular attention to the welfare of our beloved animals, and we consider it important that our guests, both young and old, behave in the gentlest and most respectful way possible towards our protégés. We've also spent a great deal of time and energy developing the garden, with its many plantings, which make it a very special place. We would therefore be grateful if you would respect our plantings. As we don't live on site, we ask for your trust and discretion from 10 p.m. onwards, for everyone's peace and quiet.

Outstanding
  • Really nice. The site isn't completely finished, but it will be by the end of the month. So I've had a chance to preview what it's going to look like. Honestly, it's nice, quiet and relaxing. It's a pity I had a thunderstorm in the middle of the night and in the morning... But that's the way it goes and it didn't spoil the place.

See you soon once everything's in place!
